Though the exit is a temporary one, with Georgia currently on maternity leave, fans can see her elsewhere on ITV in the meantime. The Emmerdale star will be appearing in new ITV drama The Hack. Georgia Jay will be on our screens again shortly (Credit: ITV) New ITV drama The Hack begins airing A brand new ITV drama, The Hack, started on ITV on Wednesday, September 24. The series stars David Tennant, Robert Carlyle and Toby Jones. It focuses on the real-life phone hacking scandal at The News of the World, which rocked the nation. With the drama based on true events, a lot of familiar names will be cropping up. The full cast list of The Hack includes plenty of ex-soap stars including Katherine Kelly (formerly Corrie’s Becky McDonald) and Rocky Marshall (Emmerdale’s evil DI Bails). Georgia will be playing American-British actress, Sienna Miller. Sienna is best known for her film roles, having starred in the likes of American Sniper and Layer Cake. She was one of the many victims of the phone hacking scandal. The series consists of seven episodes, all of which are now available to stream on ITVX. Episodes will also air on ITV each Wednesday night at 9pm. As Georgia likes to keep her life relatively private, it is not yet known when her baby is due. She announced her pregnancy in June in a fun social media video with her co-stars. She disappeared off our screens in August. At present, it’s unknown when Steph will return to the village. With the Anthony drama still continuing, and love interest Ross in a complicated paternity situation, there’s plenty of drama in store for Steph when she does eventually return.
