Classic Emmerdale preview: tragedy as Grace pushes Carl too far, Jimmy finds Lexi, and Jack fights for Diane

In Classic Emmerdale spoilers for ITV3 this week, there’s tragedy as Grace pushes Carl to tell the truth about his dad’s murder, Jimmy gets a shock on his stag night, and the villagers aren’t happy to see Nicola!

Plus, Jack and Diane come face to face.

David’s in trouble

David admits his business troubles to Eric. He tells his dad that he can’t survive if he’s constantly being undercut by the De Souzas.

Eric’s not happy. He refuses to bail David out and withdraws his investment! David’s left with no choice but to go and see Nicola.

He reluctantly agrees to become a franchisee for the De Souzas, but he’s soon smitten with with his new boss.

Everyone hates Nicola in Classic Emmerdale

At the De Souzas’ launch party, David’s surprised to see how the villagers react to discover the mystery businesswoman is Nicola! Jasmine fills him in on her history in the village.

Nicola tries to make up with Paul and Rodney and though Rodney gives in, Paul won’t budge.

Later Nicola has an emotional chat about her late husband with her dad. But Rodney is shocked when he sees Mr De Souza’s war medal and realises that he must have been considerably older than Nicola!

At the pub the siblings get physical as Paul corners Nicola in the loo and tells her to leave the village. Nicola taunts him about his ex – Ivan – and Paul shoves her head under the tap!

Zak needs cash

Elsewhere, Zak’s still furious after the police stopped his fight. Worried Sam decides he’s going to get some money for his dad. He asks Debbie for a loan and she agrees – on condition Zak asks her himself.

Zak’s annoyed with Sam for costing him the fight, and refuses to beg Debbie for money. But when Belle gets into trouble at school, he changes his mind and accepts the loan. Belle’s delighted.

Later, Sam’s feeling so bad about the Dingles’ money troubles that he offers to move out so Zak and Lisa can rent out his room. Lisa’s not keen, but Sam insists.

Debbie realises she’s got some cash flow problems of her own and she can’t give Zak the money she offered. So to get her hands on some readies, she turns to blackmail! She confronts Kelly and tells her she’s got a photo of her snogging Eli and she wants cash to stay quiet.

Kelly’s horrified. She lies to Jimmy and says she has some unexpected wedding expenses. She’s pleased when Jimmy gives her £2000.

When Debbie demands more money, Kelly’s annoyed. Carrie watches her talking to Debbie and is curious.

Realising something’s going on, Carrie offers to do business with Debbie if she’ll confess to what she is up to with Kelly. Debbie turns her down.

Dr Viv’s back in Emmerdale!

Viv and Bob are back from their trip to the US, and Viv announces she’s now Dr Vivienne Hope, child-rearing expert. She’s hurt when everyone thinks her new persona is really funny. She vows to get her Hotten Courier column back and she’s disappointed when it doesn’t happen. Instead, she asks Jasmine to help her write a childcare book.

Carl and Grace’s affair has devastating consequences in Classic Emmerdale

Grace is worried about keeping her affair with Carl secret.

Later, Carl misses the delivery of his dad’s headstone to go and see Grace. But he’s surprised when Grace reveals that she’s asked for a transfer. He wonders if she’s doing it for his sake.

Meanwhile, Matthew is annoyed with Carl for missing the delivery of the headstone. He’s suspicious about where he’s been and convinced that Carl is seeing Grace.

When he follows Carl and spots him with Grace, he takes drastic action! Matthew tells Vaughan about the affair and Vaughan is furious. He threatens to suspend Grace. She tells him she is only seeing Carl to try to uncover the identity of Tom King’s murderer. Is she telling the truth?

Vaughan gives her 24 hours to get a statement from Carl or her career is over!

Desperate Grace begs Carl to drop his brothers in it, saying once he does they can be together. But Carl insists he doesn’t love her. Grace launches into a rant against Matthew and Jimmy.

And she’s totally shocked when Carl turns on her and delivers the crushing truth that he is the murderer!

Carl leaves Grace sobbing alone in her flat, and tells his brothers what he’s done. With the Kings panicking that Carl is facing a future behind bars there are devastating consequences for everyone.

After the the tragedy of the day before, Jimmy and Matthew discuss what to do next, but they’re stunned by Carl’s actions.

Jack decides to fight for his marriage

Victoria complains to Andy about Jack telling her off and she breaks down in tears, frustrated that she’s not loved.

Worried about his dad, Andy has a chat with Jack and he confesses to missing Diane. Andy suggests he goes to Margate and fights for his marriage.

Diane’s shocked when Jack turns up in Margate and tells her they need to talk. He admits he’s worried her cancer has returned and Diane feels guilty. She realises she has to tell her husband the truth and confesses she had feelings for another man.

Jack is hurt and he demands to know who Diane had fallen for. Panicking, Diane blurts out the first name that comes to mind – the brewery drayman, John!

Back in the village, Diane is forced to take Daz to the prison to see Billy. When Daz leaves the pair alone while he gets coffee, Diane tells Billy that nothing can happen between them ever again.

Meanwhile, back in the village, Jack tells a very surprised Val that Diane has admitted to feelings for John the drayman.

Later Val goes to visit Billy and tells him the gossip about Diane’s other man. When Billy reacts strangely, Val half-jokingly accuses him of being jealous and she’s stunned when his face tells it all.

Realising it was Billy all along, upset Val confronts Diane and makes it clear that she knows what’s been going on between her and Billy.

Diane confirms Val’s suspicions and a furious Val lobs a bottle of vodka at Diane, narrowly missing her!

After a sisterly heart-to-heart, Val agrees to keep Diane’s secret, but she warns her that when Billy gets out of jail, he might not be so eager to stay quiet.

Classic Emmerdale: Doug wants to stay

After another row, Doug refuses to go home with Hilary. He suggests they rent out their house and stay in the village. But Hilary is determined to return home. Doug is equally as determined to stay so he asks for Eric for a job.

Jimmy’s stag night brings a surprise!

With the wedding looming, Kelly tells Carl and Matthew she doesn’t want them organising a raucous stag do for Jimmy. Then she tells Viv the same about her night out. Viv immediately books a stripper!

Meanwhile, Matthew is shocked that Perdy has decided to stay with Grayson. But Gray’s got a plan – he tells Perdy they should think about pushing ahead with finding a surrogate to carry their baby.

At the stag, the King brothers head to a strip club. Carl and Matthew convince Paul into clubbing together to buy Jimmy a private dance. But Jimmy is stunned to discover when the dancer turns out to be Lexi!

He has a chat with her, but he tells her he can’t promise not to tell Carrie he’s seen her.

The morning after, Jimmy’s quiet and Kelly’s worried. When Rodney and Paul let slip that Jimmy had a private dance at a lap dancing club, she confronts her groom. Jimmy insists that he couldn’t tell her about what happened because the stripper was Lexi!

Kelly’s delighted and immediately tells Carrie.

Dingle dramas

After a chat with Eric, a bolshy Sam says he’s no longer going to be contributing to the Dingle family pot.

And Lisa tries to persuade Debbie to bond with Sarah. But she’s not keen.
