They are very much in control of the teens and everything they are doing, and next week’s spoilers prove that once again. Tonight (Friday October 17) April refused to go through with a job for Ray. And Celia then made it clear that the consequences would be worse next time she said no again. Next week, more threats are issued as Dylan defies Ray. So can these two ever break free? April made an escape (Credit: ITV) Emmerdale tonight – April ran away Having refused a drug drop in Liverpool, April was making up for it tonight when she agreed to drop some cocaine at a hotel. Ray drove her there and stressed the man was very important and she was to be very nice to him. Clearly nervous, April knew something different was going on here. But she hadn’t quite figured out what – even if we were more clued in on what was being asked of her. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Tim let her into the hotel room and was immediately creepy. He chatted to her and offered her vodka and drugs. She refused, but he kept pushing, telling her to relax. April couldn’t relax as it very quickly became clear exactly what she was really there for. Thinking fast, April tricked Tim into lining her up some cocaine as she made a run for it. Managing to get away, April returned home sobbing. Celia caught her in the village and was chillingly kind as she took her home and wiped her tears. Celia said she understood why April hadn’t gone through with it. She even promised to sort it all out with Ray and with Tim. But then she told April now she knows what’s expected of her she will do it next time like a good little girl. Terrified April was banned from telling Dylan and left completely isolated and alone. Dylan chooses Marlon and Paddy over Ray and it doesn’t go down well (Credit: ITV) Dylan defies Ray next week in Emmerdale Next week’s spoilers reveal things once again get darker for the teens. Marlon is desperate to make amends with April, but she rejects him, wanting to keep him safe from Celia’s threats. So Marlon tries a different tack: get closer to Dylan instead. Hoping Dylan will give him info on his daughter, Marlon offers him a shift in the Woolpack kitchen. Dylan assures Marlon April is fine, but even he doesn’t know the extent of what she’s being forced into… Meanwhile, Paddy gifts Dylan a rally driving experience as a well done for passing his driving test. He is thrilled, but Ray reminds him work clashes. Determined to keep Dylan under his control, Ray tells him to steal the Depot driving schedules. Dylan snoops in Caleb’s office and is busted by Jai. But he does manage to get his hands on what Ray has asked for. Impressed, Ray gives him another job for tomorrow. But Dylan turns it down as he’s going driving with Paddy. Ray reminds him his debt is stacking up and he needs to work to pay it off. Dylan is totally trapped as it’s clear Ray means business. Will he and April ever find a way out of this mess? What else happened in Emmerdale tonight - Dawn's story Emmerdale tonight also told Dawn's awful tale as she recounted her difficult past to Joe. It shared extreme similarities with what April's going through, but will she get away like Dawn did? Dawn told Joe her story Dawn was upset after Joe reacted oddly to her talking about her past. She pulled him up on it tonight and decided to tell him everything that she'd been through. She told him she had been groomed by Alex when she was young. He got her into drugs and prostitution when she had nowhere else to go and no one else to turn to. It turned out Joe had reacted badly because it made him angry to think what she'd been through. He told her he now looked at her differently - he was more proud and saw her as more brave than ever before. Gosh, where did Joe Tate's heart come from all of a sudden?! Dawn vowed to protect Clemmie no matter what it took as she said some girls just weren't as lucky. But as we saw April going through the same experiences as Dawn had, will April be so lucky? Nicola and Laurel pulled together in Emmerdale tonight Elsewhere, Nicola and Laurel made amends after Nicola admitted she needed some support now she had Carl's phone back. They opened it together and were shocked by the sort of things that were popping up on it. As they realised just how clueless they were about the challenges their kids were facing online, it became all-too-clear they had a battle ahead.
