It’s all falling apart for Charity Dingle in Emmerdale as she has no idea what to do about the baby she is carrying. But after deciding whether or not to have a termination tonight (Tuesday October 7) she must now face up to the future.

Sarah is super-excited about becoming a mum and Ross wants answers over whether it’s his baby. So how long before it all comes crashing down on Charity now Chas knows the truth?

Did Charity terminate the pregnancy in Emmerdale tonight?

After receiving the paternity test results on Monday (October 6) Charity was devastated to discover the baby she is carrying belongs to her and Ross Barton. She had desperately hoped against hope that the child was that of Jacob and Sarah, who she is supposedly being a surrogate for.

Charity confided in Chas Dingle and decided an abortion was the only option. She booked one immediately.

Tonight she asked Chas to go with her, but Chas flipped and insisted she could not terminate the pregnancy. Charity lashed out saying it was her only option, but Chas encouraged her to tell the truth.

Later Charity broke down in tears alone in her car, but had she gone through with the abortion?

At home, Sarah suffocated Charity even more by showing her a memory box for the baby. It had in the first scan photo and a letter from Sarah and Jacob telling their kid how much they loved them.

Charity couldn’t stomach it and dashed out. She then told Chas she hadn’t gone through with the termination.

So what’s next for Charity?

Chas was pleased Charity hadn’t done it, but assumed she would now tell everyone the truth. But Charity refused. She knows it would lose her Sarah and cost her her marriage to Mack, who is already struggling after his kidnapping nightmare.

As Chas insisted the baby was not Sarah’s Charity told her: “She doesn’t ever need to know that.” Chas then pointed out that Ross wouldn’t rest until he sees the results, so even if Charity kept it from Sarah, how could she keep it from him?

Charity admitted she didn’t have all the answers, but she would find a way.

However we all know it’s not that easy in Soapland. The truth will come out eventually…

Emmerdale fans think the same as those watching at home began commenting on social media: “Charity this seriously isn’t gonna end well you you continuing to lie to Sarah and Mack,” said one.

Charity needs to do the right thing,” agreed one more, while a third added: “Charity should come clean not have a termination.”

Charity has messed up BIG TIME! For once, Chas is right. Charity might as well just tell them,” said a fourth.

Will Sarah and Ross find out about Charity and her lies in Emmerdale?

We don’t yet know how or when Charity’s secret will come out. But like we say, we know it will. Ross will keep pushing until he gets answers and there’s no way he’ll keep the truth to himself.

Even a fake paternity results letter doesn’t keep the wolves from the door for long in Emmerdale. We know that from when Rakesh faked the results for Vanessa’s son Johnny, so his son Kirin wasn’t tied down to a child.

Emma Atkins, who plays Charity, has admitted: “She has a choice to tell those that need telling, or to keep it a secret. And I think secrets and lies is the avenue she goes down for obvious reasons, that there’s too much at stake. There’s too much to lose.”

The truth will be exposed – and the fallout will be huge.

What else happened in Emmerdale tonight - Tuesday October 7

Charity wasn't the only one having a nightmare in Emmerdale tonight as Rhona felt guilty about April and Gabby couldn't stop her suspicions over Vinny's sexuality.

Celia was everywhere!

After April moved into the B&B, Celia knew it wasn't ideal, but felt she could work with it. She perfectly timed a trip to Moira's just as Rhona was offloading about April.

Celia played the concerned parent, who'd also experienced trouble with her son, and advised Rhona she was doing the right thing kicking April out. It made Rhona feel better - and Celia triumphant.

Celia then visited April at the B&B, where she was settling in and working hard to help Bob. Twisting the knife in further, Celia alienated April from Rhona by explaining all the things Rhona had said about her.

It isolated devastated April even more from her family and pushed her even closer into Celia's web of lies and destruction.

Vinny turned to Lewis in Emmerdale tonight

Awkward Vinny and Gabby tried to keep things normal over breakfast in the cafe. But as soon as Gabby was gone, Lewis swooped in and offered Vinny a listening ear.

Vinny was grateful for Lewis' support. However after offloading to him, Vinny then gave Lewis a hug - just as Gabby walked in.

She immediately exited, making excuses and Vinny tried to explain. But can they ever really get past this?

Jimmy messed up!

After running a midnight bath, Jimmy managed to flood the Kings' house. When there was no room at the B&B, the whole family descended on a not-very-impressed Laurel.

As Nicola and Jimmy made themselves at home, Laurel was very overwhelmed when they said it was for a few weeks while their house dries out and the electrics are fixed. Oh dear...
