And now his words have come back to bite him after he ploughed into Jimmy with his car. As Jimmy lay lifeless in the road, Joe was about to walk away – until Caleb pitched up, having seen it all. Joe called an ambulance and was questioned by the police – and Nicola has vowed to make sure Joe pays. Caleb therefore holds Joe’s future in his hands. Will he finally take the ultimate revenge and get Joe sent down? Joe accidentally hit Jimmy (Credit: ITV) Joe hit Jimmy in Emmerdale tonight After making threats on Monday night (October 20) that “justice comes in many forms” Joe was in a bad mood tonight (Tuesday October 21). He was driving fast and looking at his phone and accidentally hit something in the road. He was horrified when he got out of his car and saw that ‘something’ was Jimmy King. Joe knew how bad this was going to look and got ready to drive away. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers But as he ran back to his car, Caleb caught him. Joe quickly insisted he was going to get his phone to call for help, but we all know that wasn’t what he was planning. And so too did Caleb. Jimmy was taken to the hospital where Nicola turned up and was fuming to see Joe being questioned by police. She was clear she would give her own statement and she did not for one second believe it was an accident. Joe now knows he’s in a hole so he went to see Caleb to make sure he told the correct version of events. He dug himself even deeper in when he tried to blackmail Caleb over Ruby’s dad and then eventually offered him £25k for telling the right story to the police. Caleb wasn’t in the mood to do a deal though and enjoyed making Joe sweat. He told Joe to have a think about it and come back tomorrow. “You let me know when you’ve decided how much your freedom is worth. Police are in at 12,” Caleb said, leaving Joe in quite the quandry. Caleb and Joe have another problem to solve tomorrow (Credit: ITV) Caleb’s next move is crucial Joe is in a fix: how far will he be forced to go to secure his freedom this time? Caleb holds all the cards right now, so what will Joe have to do? Things take a turn tomorrow (Wednesday October 22) when Joe goes back to see Caleb. The pair are interrupted by a noise in one of the vans. They find a girl, Anya, has stowed away. The police arrive just as a commotion over who she is kicks off. Joe heads out to greet them and keep them out of the Depot until Caleb has it under control. Has Joe’s cover-up done enough to stop Caleb dobbing him in?
