John stressed over police presence

In Tuesday’s episode of Emmerdale, John Sugden stressed as the police continued to investigate Nate’s death.

Spotting a police car outside the surgery, John panicked and headed inside to see what was happening. There, DC Cole was talking to GP Liam about Owen Michaels.

Viewers will know that John set Owen up to take the fall for Nate’s murder. John even wrote a confession in the form of a suicide note on Owen’s computer.

But it’s that note that may be John’s downfall, as DC Cole explained they’ve since discovered that the suicide note on Owen’s computer was saved after his confirmed time of death.

Aaron and John planned to leave the village

Robert put pressure on Aaron to tell John that they’re getting back together. However, Aaron was reluctant and told Robert that them sleeping together was a mistake and can’t happen again.

Aaron later told Mack what happened, but insisted it was John he wanted to be with.

John arrived home for lunch, feeling stressed from having to “support everyone” and seeing Robbert everywhere. This led to Aaron suggesting they get away for a while.

“All we have to do is pack our bags and we leave the village tomorrow,” Aaron said. This left John feeling both shocked and relieved that he would be able to escape the Nate drama.

In the pub, Aaron told his mum Chas the news and informed her that if they find somewhere they like they’ll be staying there long-term.

Mack was not impressed with Aaron’s plan, telling him that it was obvious that he loved Robert and running away isn’t the answer.

Meanwhile, John made a phone call asking for help with “a loose end that needs tidying up”.

What else happened in Emmerdale tonight?

Elsewhere in Emmerdale tonight, it was revealed that Celia is working with Joe Tate in order to get Moira to sell her beloved farm.

Meanwhile, Vinny continued to hide the truth about his recent attack from fiancée Gabby and concocted a story about the missing wedding rings.

Read on for our full recap of Emmerdale tonight.

Celia had bad news for Moira

Having struck a deal with rival farmer Celia recently, Moira was delighted when Celia revealed that the spa hotel loved their products and wanted more.

However, later, Celia returned to the farm and said their delivery had been rejected as the chef had decided their products were over priced.

As Moira raged about them going back on a deal, Celia pointed out that a cooling off period was written in the contract. Celia apologised for costing Moira a lot of money and said that Moira could keep any money they do manage to get back.

The truth about Celia was revealed

As many fans suspected, Celia has indeed been working with the Tates. After giving Moira the bad news, she visited Joe to share the good news.

Celia described Moira as a fool for not reading the contract or asking for money up front. She then told Joe: "She won’t make her water fine payment, let alone feed her livestock, so my guess is it’ll all be over within a week." In return for her help, Celia will get 6 months rent free with the option to lease any extra land she wants.

While Joe was pleased he was able to give Kim what she wanted, Dawn was angry at how easily Joe was willing to ruin Moira's life.

Vinny lied to Gabby again

Vinny carried on with his tale of deceit as he promised to pick up the wedding rings after he claimed they'd had to be resized.

He later returned with the rings and tried to hide them from Gabby, but she insisted on seeing them. She immediately noticed they were not the same ones they had picked out and went to call the jewellers.

Vinny stopped her by telling yet another lie. He claimed to have lost the original rings after putting the bag they were in down somewhere. Gabby was immediately forgiving, reassuring him that mistake happen.
