Last week’s episodes ended with the bombshell that Mackenzie was actually alive. But tonight proved that it was going to be rather difficult for him to get away. Even Lawrence Robb said that he’s not out of the woods just yet. And as things progress, John is set to get even more out of control – and sets his attention to his husband. John confessed everything to Mack (Credit: ITV) What happened to Mack in Emmerdale tonight? Mack woke up on an IV drip in an underground bunker, where it was revealed John didn’t smash him on the head with the rock. Instead he broke his ankle so he couldn’t run away. John pulls his usual story of how he actually wanted to save him. But as it turns out, he’s running out of antibiotics that Mack needs to fight off an infection. And it’s not looking that good. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers After revealing that nobody is looking for him, Mack encourages John to tell him everything he has done so he won’t be alone anymore. Wanting to trust someone, John reveals all to Mack – but conveniently seems to have left out the slurry stuff. Mack plays smart and pretends to be on John’s side, and promised that if he let him go, he would just leave. But while John headed back to the cottage – where Aaron once again couldn’t see the truth – Mack tried to escape. When he returned to the bunker, John got close enough that Mack thought he could hit him with a plank of wood. Unfortunately for him, his handcuffs prevented him from reaching that far. After all that, John told him: “We were doing so well.” And very clearly had no more intention of ever letting him go. Clearly sensing that something is holding Aaron back, John becomes determined to make his husband rely on him. Unbeknownst to Aaron, John spikes his whiskey, and gets him to drink some. And when it very quickly has an effect on him, John is there to be the reliable husband. However, John heads out to get some wood for a cosy night in, and Aaron helps himself to more. He has no idea the danger he is in… What else happened in Emmerdale tonight? It was very busy in Emmerdale tonight as John continued to live his double life. But away from the Mackenzie drama, there was also a lot of other things going down the Dales - like a horror knife situation for April! And Tracy struggled to hold it together during Frankie's first day at school. So, here's our full rundown of what happened in Emmerdale tonight. Aaron was concerned about John's behaviour When he wasn't revealing all of his secrets to Mackenzie in the bunker, John was acting rather strange at the cottage. Aaron tried cracking some jokes about opening all of his locked doors, but John obviously was having an internal panic and didn't find any of it funny. He told Aaron that being back had at the cottage had made him think about all the bad stuff he has ever done. And once again Aaron tried to convince him he's a good person who wants to help (if you have to say it so many times, maybe consider it might not be the truth). Tracy broke down over Nate's death in Emmerdale tonight It was Frankie's first day of school and she asked if they could send a photo to Nate. This resulted in Tracy getting upset that their daughter has to go through all the milestones without him around. But she arrived home early - with Frankie in tow. It seemed kids in school were talking about Nate's murder to Frankie, which resulted in the little girl asking Tracy what it meant. Tracy and Vanessa had a little row about how she handled the situation. But eventually they ended up at Nate's grave, with Tracy breaking down over everything. April did a drug run for Ray instead of school Dylan hid under April's bed while Marlon brought her breakfast and told her how proud he was for going back to school. But just as she arrived at the bus stop with Dylan, Ray pulled up. He tried to get him to do another job. But the area was too dangerous for him to go back, so he refused. Ray was annoyed. So April decided that getting Dylan the money was more important than her first day at school - so she would do the drop-off. And things took a horrific turn in Emmerdale tonight However, during the drop-off a guy chases April through the area and demands she give him the bag. She initially refused, but once he pulled out a knife, she knew she had to give it to him. Dylan's hopeful that Ray would understand what she did. But then we saw the hooded boy meet up with Ray for his payout. And it's revealed it was all a part of Ray's master manipulative plan.
