We have learned plenty of new facts about both Robert and Kev that will serve more drama up over the coming months – but we also have some questions over it all. Robert was beaten in prison (Credit: ITV) Emmerdale tonight tells Robert’s story Wednesday’s episode revealed what really happened during Robert’s incarceration. He confessed how he’d been transferred back to Hotten in 2020 and been put in a cell with Kev. Robert recounted the horror of being attacked by Jez and how Kev had saved him. As the months wore on, Rob and Kev grew closer until previously straight Kev kissed Robert. Things took a dark turn when Robert found out new evidence meant he could appeal his sentence. Kev was unhappy at the thought of losing him and stabbed himself, pretending he was being targeted so Robert would stay close. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers However, Robert then got a surprise visit in prison – cue shock number one: the return of Faith Dingle! Faith visited Robert and begged him to come and sort Aaron out. She urged him to fight his sentence with the new evidence. Faith knew she was dying and got Robert to confess he still loved Aaron more than anything. So she insisted: “Get him back and hold him tight because love like that should never go to waste.” Robert said Faith had given him the fire he needed to fight, but it took ages. He then found out about John and Aaron getting married and that was the final push he needed to get out. Kev wasn’t happy at all about it and turned on the emotional blackmail, so Robert lied he was getting out because Victoria had a brain tumour. Kev has manipulated Robert (Credit: ITV) Kev’s side of the story Meanwhile, in the cafe Kev was talking to Liam about his death lies to Robert. Liam was trying to persuade him to come clean. But then Kev confided he lied all the time – including about the fact he doesn’t have a kid. He has a son, who he had after a one-night stand with a barmaid called “Emma-something” and according to Kev she was a “right fruit loop”, who “got herself murdered a few years ago”. The son was put up for adoption and at that moment, Lewis Barton walked past… Have we all joined the dots now?! That to one side, as they were talking Liam was shocked when Kev referred to Victoria’s brain tumour. Although Liam wouldn’t confirm whether or not it was true the look on Liam’s face was all Kev needed. So what have we learned about Robert and Kev from Emmerdale tonight? Kev has lied and so has Robert! (Credit: ITV) 1. Kev and Robert are both great big liars! Okay so we sort of knew this, but the lies tonight are a whole other level. Firstly we now know Kev has lied to Robert the entire time they’ve been together. Robert thinks Kev got stabbed in a revenge attack for protecting him, but we know he did it to himself to manipulate Robert. Kev thinks Robert was released due to Victoria’s brain tumour. Kev now knows she never had a tumour at all! Faith helped Robert and Aaron reunite (Credit: ITV) 2. Faith Dingle was responsible for the Robron reunion Wasn’t it brilliant having Faith back in the show, even for only a few scenes? Boy have we missed her and though her tragic storyline was Emmerdale at its best, tonight’s scenes show we really, really miss her. Like, really, really, really. Lewis is the product of a one-night stand (Credit: ITV) 3. Lewis is Kev’s son And the biggie – Lewis Barton’s dad is Kev! Fans had long suspected this to be the case and now it’s been confirmed. It means Kev has reason to be in the village that far surpasses his doomed marriage to Robert and that makes us happy! What will happen next now Kev knows the truth?(Credit: ITV) Questions left for Emmerdale to answer over Robert and Kev Well, where do we start? Firstly we need to know MUCH more about Kev and loopy Emma Barton. How, when, what and why?! And then we need to know if Lewis has ever tried to find his dad and whether it led him anywhere near Kev. Does Kev know Lewis is the one given up for adoption? Will there be a happy father/son reunion? Kev has said his son is better off without him, but will Lewis see it that way? Next week the pair do start to bond. Spoilers show Kev attends Lewis’ housewarming party and when he goes back to retrieve his jacket a friendship starts to develop. But how long before they find out who the other is? Also, we need to know just when Robert will find out about all of Kev’s lies – and when he and Aaron can reunite and go public. Spoilers for later this week show devastated Kev spiralling – presumably because he’s found out the truth about Victoria. But when will he find out the whole truth about Aaron?
