Mysterious Kev made his arrival in the village tonight (September 29) as Chris Coghill made his Emmerdale debut. But now that we know he is Robert’s husband, where does this leave him and Aaron? Kev only has months to live (Credit: ITV) Kev is Robert Sugden’s husband Robert was a happy man at the start of the episode, planning to meet Aaron in the pub for a drink. But that all changed when Kev arrived on day release from prison. Very quickly we realised that Kev and Robert had some form of relationship while inside. But Kev then dropped the bomb that they are actually married! article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Kev could sense that Robert was a bit off with him, and even jokingly asked if he had met someone else – which Robert tried to brush off. But then Kev admitted he only has six months left to live, flooring Robert. But when alone with Victoria, Robert was forced to tell her what happened in prison. He admitted he was beaten up for being bi-sexual and posh, and it was Kev who managed to protect him, and thus he owes him his life – literally. Victoria was shocked that Robert didn’t have any intention of divorcing Kev, as he explained that his gangster husband has quite a lot of money. And when he dies – he will get it all. However, Victoria made it clear that she’s not okay with lying to Aaron about everything. And in the end, she told Robert that either he tells Aaron the truth – or she will. But with things between himself and Aaron finally getting good again, is Robert about to risk ruining it all? Robert is torn over what to do (Credit: ITV) Does Robert tell Aaron the truth? New Emmerdale spoilers for this week now show that Robert will face his own dilemma over the Kev situation. Later this week, Victoria is angry with Robert for his willingness to hide the truth from Aaron and continues to tell him that she will make sure Aaron knows what is going on. But Robert’s in a predicament as he is torn between breaking Aaron’s heart or the heart of his dying husband. And things get even worse when Victoria spots a visiting order from Kev. It’s confirmed that Robert does go to the prison to see his husband. But it remains to be seen whether or not Robert can find the courage to break Kev’s heart. Actor Chris Coghill said about his role: “I’m thoroughly enjoying my time on Emmerdale, so far. It’s an absolutely lovely place to work. The village is stunning and everyone is genuinely lovely.” But just how will Kev react if Robert decides to break-up with him. And with fans already thinking Kev might be the one to get rid of John Sugden, he may not take the news about Aaron so well. What else happened in Emmerdale tonight? Instead, she organises another drug deal. And when Dylan questions what she's up to, she lied to him too. Then her other phone began buzzing while with Dylan, but she pretended it wasn't hers. Clearly aware she was lying, Dylan followed April, watching her do the drug deal, furious that she hadn't told him. While April tried to play it as no big deal, Dylan was adamant that it was a huge deal. He promised he would get her out of it and Ray would listen to him. But will his plan go smoothly? Vinny and Gabby asked Thomas about adoption Vinny was nervous about asking Thomas if he could adopt him, while Gabby tried her hardest to ignore Laurel's questioning. Laurel remained adamant that Gabby needed to tell Vinny the truth, but Gabby explained she loves him and that it was a mistake. When the couple sit and ask Thomas about the adoption, it's clear the youngster doesn't fully understand. But Vinny felt it went well. However, Gabby wondered if they had rushed into things, and it's clear that neither are fully happy with their decision. Vinny decided to testify at the trial But when Vinny went home, alone with Kammy, he called up and confirmed that he would testify at the trial.
