The couple are currently enjoying a break at a remote cottage, with a suggestion that they may make the move away from the village permanent. But will John’s shifty behaviour result in Aaron discovering what happened to Mackenzie Boyd? Here’s what happens next. John and Aaron were back on-screen in Emmerdale today as the pair were seen enjoying spending time at a remote cottage. Aaron told John that he could happily settle there and said that they should try to buy the property from the landlord. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers John was unsettled by the suggestion and insisted the landlord would not want to sell. To drum home this view, he even faked a phone conversation and informed Aaron that the owners had no interest in selling the cottage. Later, Aaron wandered around the house and came across a locked door. John caught Aaron trying to gain entry and quickly distracted him. As John encouraged Aaron to get the car started for their trip to the pub, John double checked the door was locked. Elsewhere, Moira was not best pleased when Mack didn’t return from the stag do on time. With Mack having been attacked by John, could John be hiding him in the locked room? Mack was shot with an arrow by John Mack isn’t dead, fans claim Last week, John seemingly killed Mack. But with his suspicious behaviour and the fact that a dead body wasn’t actually shown, fans aren’t sure Mack really is dead. “I’m convinced Mack‘s not dead,” wrote one fan on X. A second fan said: “Maybe he’s in that room that is locked in the house they are staying at. John looked suspicious trying the door maybe he’s checking that it won’t be opened by anyone.” Other fans believe Mack is alive, but that he’s not being kept in the cottage. A third fan said: “John keeps nipping out a lot, he’s checking on mack I KNOW IT.” Another fan wrote on Reddit: “John is out of the house more than he is in it, I don’t know what Aaron thinks he’s doing, just wandering about in the woods. But every time we see John he’s either out in the woods or just coming back from them. So I think he must be out feeding/ watering/ medicating/ etc Mack.” A fifth fan even brought Anthony Fox into the theory, writing: “I think he’s got Mack and Anthony, both alive and hidden somewhere. Aaron tries to downplay his concerns regarding John’s behaviour, but Chas senses something is up. Meanwhile, John is concerned when he discovers that Charity is considering calling the police over missing Mack. John makes up an excuse to leave – leaving Aaron feeling more bemused. Elsewhere, Victoria chats about Mack’s disappearance with a suspicious Robert. When Victoria tells Robert that Aaron and John are moving into John’s childhood home, Robert walks out. Robert heads over to Mill Flat, where Aaron is packing and tries to convince him he is making a mistake. As the tension between the two men builds, they share a kiss again, but Aaron struggles with his feelings. Later, jealous John plans to drug Aaron, determined to make his husband dependent on him. John spikes the whiskey and convinces Aaron to swig it back. With Aaron uncharacteristically affected by a single glass of whisky, John’s ready to look after him. However, when John heads out to fetch more wood, Aaron decides to pour himself another glass from the drugged whisky. He’s unaware of the danger he is putting himself in. Elsewhere in Emmerdale tonight, Chas discovered the truth about Dylan and forced Mandy and Paddy to chuck him out. Dylan was devastated to be told the news, will he now go back to his old life? Read on for our full recap of Emmerdale tonight. Moira targeted Dylan In the pub, Moira told Chas she needed help at the farm and asked if she could borrow Dylan. But it was all a trap and Moira was eager for revenge. When Chas shared Dylan's whereabouts with Marlon and April, they were worried for his safety. They told Chas about Dylan's involvement in the farm break-in and hurried to rescue him. At the farm, Moira cornered Dylan in a barn while holding a pitchfork. "It's not very nice, is it? Feeling trapped," she told Dylan. Fortunately Marlon and April arrived and Moira let Dylan go. Paddy told Dylan to leave in Emmerdale tonight Chas told Mandy and Paddy that she didn't want her daughter Eve around Dylan and demanded they chuck Dylan out of their house. Paddy was reluctant as Dylan is trying to turn his life around, but in the end he accepted the decision and told Dylan that he wouldn't be able to live with them any more. Paddy paid for Dylan to stay in a hostel for a month, but Dylan wasn't keen on that arrangement. As April yelled at Paddy for letting Dylan down in the worst way possible, Dylan was seen getting into a car with Ray. Sheep wars over at the farm Comedy came in the form of a sheep herding competition. As Ross and Robert bickered about who was boss, Moira informed them they she needed them both to herd the sheep back from Celia's farm. Ross and Robert decided to make it into a competition: Bartons v Sugdens. With Ross and Matty taking on Robert and Victoria. Both teams struggled with the task, though Ross declared he thought Bartons won. However, they soon realised they'd moved the wrong flock of sheep and had to work together to put it right. The foursome were soon laughing together and getting on. "Who needs a border collie when you have a Ross Barton?" Well, indeed. Liam tried to support Jacob in Emmerdale tonight Liam invited Jacob to shadow him at a dementia clinic, but was disappointed when Jacob didn't turn up. He opted to hang out with Sarah instead. Liam told Jacob he had to prioritise his career, with Sarah also giving Jacob some stick for using her as an excuse. Later, Liam apologised to Jacob for coming on too strong.
