A few weeks ago, Emmerdale viewers were shocked to discover that Robert was actually secretly married to someone inside prison. And in another shocking turn of events, it was revealed Kev is actually dying and only has around six months to live. Victoria implored her brother to tell Aaron the truth, reminding him that he will lose him for good if he discovers his lies. But as Robert kept putting the inevitable off, Kev got released from prison. Kev and Aaron came face-to-face (Credit: ITV) Aaron and Kev met in Emmerdale Tonight (October 20), Kev was released and headed straight to see Robert. Robert made his excuses to Aaron and headed off to see his husband – who was already with Victoria. Vic was left shocked when she realised that Robert has even lied to Kev about his release – telling him that Victoria had a brain operation and needed someone to look after her. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers But soon enough, Kev and Aaron were introduced, and Aaron immediately knew something else was up. And when Robert introduced Kev as his “cellmate”, even Kev was confused. However, the husbands spoke and as it turns out, Kev isn’t ready for the world to know about their marriage. So, for the time being, Robert could keep his secret life quiet. But when he returned back to the Mill Flat to Aaron, he completely lied about his history with Kev. He told Aaron that they were just good friends – despite Aaron giving him every opportunity to tell the truth. However, it seems like Robert’s game is about to be over. And no, it’s not because Robert has decided to be honest. Instead, it’s an incredibly awkward situation. The coming episodes will show Robert fully realise that Aaron is his future, making the decision to dump Kev. But at the same time, Aaron – who remains oblivious – announces to the pub that he and Robert are back together. And this just amps up Robert’s guilt. Robert tries to find the right moment to dump Kev, but he’s troubled by Kev’s aggression. When he mentions this, Kev tells him he can be better. But also realises that Robert is hiding something. Robert meets Kev for a drink at the HOP and is shocked when Kev gifts him a shiny new watch. And Kev even pulls Robert in for a kiss. But it’s that exact moment that Aaron appears and sees the whole thing – much to Robert’s horror! How will Aaron react? And what will Robert do now that his secret life has been rumbled?
