As the John Sugden saga continues, for some reason everybody is just blindly believing that he is the victim. And with John now awake, he’s making everything worse for poor Robert. But Emmerdale fans think they’ve figured out how exactly he will be found out – and all Caleb has to do is check his CCTV footage. Robert was arrested for John’s crimes (Credit: ITV) John has framed Robert It’s been a huge few weeks in Emmerdale as Aaron Dingle finally discovered the truth about his husband, John. Right before he was thrown off a cliff. Now, Aaron’s in a coma – with fans fearing for Danny Miller’s future. But John is awake and making everyone believe he is the victim. And it’s Robert who is getting the blame for everything (even though everyone knows he would never hurt Aaron). article continues below Read all the latest spoilers However, John was able to back up his story by showing the police his edited CCTV footage of Robert attacking him. But his footage leaves out the crucial moment at the beginning where John was goading Robert, initiating the attack. So, with literally everyone – except for Matty – against Robert, Emmerdale fans are desperate for someone to help him. And they think it all comes down to Caleb. Caleb should check his cameras (Credit: ITV) But Emmerdale fans think Caleb will discover the truth When Robert hit John over the head with the wrench, it happened right outside the Mill. That’s where Caleb lives. And with Caleb being Caleb, there’s no way he doesn’t have his own CCTV cameras. He’s even mentioned them before. So, if he were to look back at the day of the attack, he would find the whole unedited version of events. And maybe then people would stop idolising John and start realising what’s right in front of them. Taking to a Reddit thread, one fan wrote: “Doesn’t Caleb have CCTV all around his house? That would show the John and Robert fight. I swear I remember him threatening Aaron with CCTV before.” Another replied: “That would be a brilliant twist! Especially as Robert hasn’t fully went into what happened that day. He just said John was ‘winding’ him up.” A third penned: “Oh I love this idea! That would be amazing if they could prove that John provoked Robert.” It also seemed to be a popular theory on X. One fan wrote: “I think Caleb could help Rob out by providing the Milll’s CCTV footage where it would be clear John provoked Robert by choking him.” Whether or not Caleb comes through for Emmerdale fans remains to be seen.
