For months, April and Dylan have been at the mercy of the terrifying Ray. And only recently was it revealed that Celia was the true mastermind behind everything. But last week, Emmerdale aired an extremely powerful special episode, focussed on Dawn telling her story to Joe. And as she did so, it reflected April’s current life. Dawn opened up to Joe (Credit: ITV) Emmerdale Dawn and April’s special episode Last Friday (October 17), Emmerdale fans were impressed as Dawn and April took centre-stage in a very powerful episode. The instalment left fans emotional, and once again blown away with what Emmerdale has to offer. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers But the scenes itself were harrowing to watch. April found herself locked in a hotel room with one of Ray’s client’s, Tim – and he made it very clear what he wanted from her. However, the young teen knew she couldn’t go through with it. And when the opportunity arose, April managed to make a run for it. Heartbreakingly though, at the same time, Dawn was telling Joe about her own past. She opened up about being forced into sex work at 15 years old. And revealed how she met Clemmie’s mum. But because of the parallels, Emmerdale fans can’t help but wonder if Dawn will be the first one to realise something is going on with April. April was in a terrifying situation (Credit: ITV) Could Dawn work out what is happening? Taking to a Reddit thread, where viewers discussed how incredible the episode was, some fans pointed out that they would love to see the characters interact. One penned: “After this episode, I really hope that April somehow confides in Dawn. Hopefully she can get her to open up. Celia is a monster!” Another agreed: “So Dawn telling the story of her past which is a copy of where April is heading. I think April will talk to Dawn eventually!” “It was a very interesting storytelling choice to have April’s venture into the hotel happen along with Dawn recounting her own similar past to Joe. Maybe not so subtle. But it would be quite the character turnaround if she ends up being the person to save April.” Whether April can be saved or not – and by who – remains to be seen. But we still have the very exciting special episode featuring her and Marlon to come in the next few months. So, fingers crossed there is finally a light at the end of this horrific tunnel!
