The three episodes will focus on April Windsor, Robert Sugden and Bear Wolf, and will air in November. With Robert hiding a secret husband, Bear Wolf AWOL and April sinking into a county lines hole, these special episodes are bound to be filled with twists and turns. Before he left, Bear had been acting out of character, with Paddy even wondering if Bear was suffering from dementia. After one clash too many, Paddy ordered his dad out of the house. But it soon becomes apparent that Bear never made the journey across the Irish Sea – so where did he go? A special standalone episode “will explore the hundred missing days of Bear’s life and we’ll learn that he is sadly trapped in an all too common situation for a forgotten generation”. Her and Ray have manipulated teens April and Dylan, with April in particular falling deep into the drug dealing web. Things got worse for April after she dropped some ecstasy tablets and her brother took one, thinking they were sweets. Rhona went ballistic and April was forced to leave the family home. With April at the mercy of the merciless drug dealers, it’s down to her ever present and worried father Marlon to get through to her. But will he manage it? A special episode will explore “this fragile and possibly broken relationship between a father and his daughter” as she slips further from his grasp. Then there is Robert Sugden, who we recently discovered had a secret prison husband. A special episode will take a look at what happened during his recent incarceration and how he met Kev.
