Emmerdale airs the standalone episode for April Windsor tonight as she opens up to her dad Marlon Dingle about everything that’s been going on. We’ve been promised a “staggering twist” that will blow fans’ minds – and we can confirm it definitely does that. But has the episode left us with more questions than answers? No longer just dealing drugs for them and owing them an increasing debt, she is now being prostituted out. The first time, April couldn’t go through with it and ran away. The second time, she drank to get some courage and then still c0uldn’t do it. She made it very clear April will be working for her for a long, long time and there’s no way out. She and Marlon share some emotional moments as they mess around and reminisce. It’s heart-warming to see April behaving like the child she is again. It almost seems as if she has forgotten her troubles. And the father and daughter bond between April and Marlon is beautifully played. So April decides to open up to her dad about everything going on and everything she has been through. She breaks down as she recounts her story and tells of her terror and fear. And then there is a major twist. Mark Charnock, who plays Marlon, had previously told us it would be “a twist that will stagger the audience” and he’s not wrong! We will not reveal here what happens as we don’t want to spoil it for the viewers watching tonight, but your hearts will be in your mouths and you won’t believe the outcome. Can April find a way out? (Credit: ITV) Mark Charnock speaks out Marlon actor Mark has also revealed that “things are going to get considerably worse before they get better,” and that he “could do something extraordinarily reckless” if he found out about Ray. “I truly believe that that character would sacrifice himself for his child,” he said. “I think he could do something irrational that could cause everlasting damage.” Is this it?
