Emmerdale fans have demanded John be punished for the slurry tank leak after that particular incident appears to have been forgotten.

John Sugden has now confessed to many crimes, but his tampering with the tank has had no mention.

At the time, Mackenzie Boyd was blamed for the slurry accident and now viewers are demanding justice for him.

What crimes has John committed?

Shortly after John arrived in Emmerdale a year ago, it was established that he had somewhat of a hero complex.

John liked to push the boundaries as far as he could before jumping in and rescuing the situation.

He was guilty of switching Chas’s medication, causing her to overdose. He was of course first on the scene to rescue her.

Ella was blamed for that crime along with the attack on Liam and the smashing of the pub window – which were also down to John.

Knowing Jacob had a nut allergy, John then caused him to go into anaphylactic shock before saving his life.

It was also revealed that John was responsible for Aidan Moore being in hospital. We can add these crimes to the killing of Nate Robinson, setting up Owen Michaels and kidnapping Mack!

During chats with Mack and Aaron, John has confessed to all these crimes – but messing with the slurry tank has not come up in conversation.

Viewers will remember that John deliberately tampered with the tank in order to get Mack into trouble. The slurry leak poisoned the water supply in the village and put young Harry in hospital as well as costing Moira a lot of money.

Mack has been distraught, believing he poisoned a child and caused potential financial ruin for his family.

Fans demand John is punished for slurry leak

Taking to Reddit, fans pointed out that the slurry tank leak has not had any mention lately, and was not one of the (many) things John confessed to.

“He hasn’t admitted to the slurry!! Both him and Mack need to be alive for Mack’s vindication. I know they could probably just go back and think it was him framing Mack anyway, but I need Moira to know it wasn’t her brother,” said one fan.

A second viewer wrote: “I’m totally on the Mack-vindication-train. Can’t wait for people to realise he didn’t do it. I felt so bad for him.”

A third fan added: “Mack needs to find out it wasn’t his fault! And Vic needs to know it was him who made Harry sick!”

While a fourth fan joked that they would riot if John is not punished. “I need Mack to be vindicated too! Everyone was so hard on the poor guy for that incident. It better come out that it was John’s fault or I am rioting,” they said.
