But in a shocking twist, Kev told Robert he only has months to live. Tonight’s (September 29) visit to Emmerdale left viewers shocked to learn that Robert has been married this entire time. But while Robert seems sure he loves Aaron Dingle, he still doesn’t want to break Kev’s heart. Especially because Kev revealed he only has six months to live – at most! But is he telling the truth and can we trust him? Kev came to his aid, and often ended up in solitary confinement himself for protecting Robert. And soon enough, Robert found himself trying to start a new life – and that was with Kev. But now that Robert’s out, all he has wanted was his old life with Aaron back. And so far, things have been a bit difficult. However, with John leaving the country, the pair have been bonding yet again, promising to stay friends until Aaron’s head is clear. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers This was all thrown into chaos when Kev arrived on Robert’s doorstep tonight, revealing to his husband that he actually only has six months left to live. Robert was clearly shocked at the news, even telling Kev that he doesn’t “look” like a dying man. And naturally, Emmerdale fans aren’t too sure if they believe him. We know Kev is a violent man who is inside for armed robbery. And he clearly struggles to keep himself composed, as he was set for revenge the second Robert mentioned someone tried to set him up. So could he be lying about dying? Fans aren’t convinced Kev is dying (Credit: ITV) Is Kev really dying? We don’t know much else about Kev, or his future on Emmerdale. So, it’s fully understandable why viewers may be reluctant to believe him. Most times in soap, people aren’t often who they say they are. There’s always a chance that Kev knows he is losing Robert, and has come up with a lie that will keep him for a while, especially as Robert feels he owes Kev his life. Taking to X, fans debated whether or not Kev is actually dying. And the majority feel like it’s a lie. One fan penned: “So Kev won’t be dying, right?” Another added: “I don’t trust that Kev is actually dying. I think it’s a tactic to keep Robert now that he’s out.” However, a few people believed that Kev is actually dying purely because he managed to get out on day release. One fan asked: “Kev is dying. Do we actually believe it?” A fan responded: “My instinct is no. But clearly the prison is convinced?” Another agreed: “The soap fan in me says no. But in reality, I don’t think he could scam the prison into day release otherwise.” So whether or not Kev is actually dying remains to be seen.
