A big twist was unveiled in the latest episode of Emmerdale as it was revealed that two former lovers have hooked up again. While viewers may have been expecting details of a Vanity reunion following Vanessa and Charity’s kiss last week, it was actually Ross who Charity hooked up with. With Charity Dingle now pregnant, will her family find out about this indiscretion. The pair are parents to Moses (Credit: ITV) Ross and Charity’s history in Emmerdale Charity and Ross go way back. In 2014 Ross started working for Charity and the two had a one night stand. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers The following year, Charity gave birth to Ross’s son Moses while in prison. At the same time, Ross begun an affair with Charity’s daughter Debbie, who was engaged to his brother Pete at the time. Charity soon called Ross to share the news that he was now a dad, but Ross told her he wanted nothing to do with the baby. Ross attempted to keep Moses’ paternity from Debbie, but Cain soon let the cat out of the bag and Debbie ended things with him. He soon came around to the idea of being a father and Charity was even convinced to put Ross’s name on Moses birth certificate. Following a horrific acid attack in 2018, Ross decided to leave the village with Rebecca. He had originally planned to take Moses with him, but that plan was soon thwarted. Though Charity agreed he could have regular access. Ross returned to the Dales last year and he and Charity have been amicable – or more than amicable as the case may be recently. (Credit: ITV) Charity and Ross hook up again Thursday’s episode of Emmerdale begun with Charity, Mack, Sarah and Jacob preparing to head off to the clinic, eager to get the second cycle of embryo transplantation underway after Charity’s supposed miscarriage the first time round. Previously, following a fall, Charity experienced some bleeding and a pregnancy test confirmed her fears that she’d lost the baby. However, they were all in for a shock when the doctor shared the news that Charity was still pregnant. While Sarah was delighted, describing the day as the happiest of her life, Charity appeared apprehensive. The reason for that was later revealed. During celebration drinks in the pubs, Ross Barton arrived and discovered what they were toasting. He then approached Charity outside demanding to know if the baby was his. A flashback scene from last week then showed what happened after Charity had leaned in to kiss Vanessa. To the disappointment of Vanity fans, Vanessa chucked Charity out on to the street. A drunk Charity then staggered over to Ross, who was also drinking. She took the bottle of drink from in before kissing him and leading him down the road.
