And they have now issued an ultimatum to the soap after watching the scenes. It’s fair to say our hearts were in our mouths as John grabbed Aaron and refused to let him go. But after his clifftop fall, Aaron’s fate remains unknown – and we have to wait until Wednesday (September 10) to find out. Last night’s episode was completely focused on the John Sugden drama. After Aaron realised what John was capable of, he made himself sick when he was forced to drink the drugged water meant to keep him under control. He then managed to escape and went on a desperate search for Mackenzie, who is trapped in an underground bunker. Meanwhile, Robert arrived at the cottage to confront John. But as Robert called him a murderer and things got physical, John got the upper hand when he knocked Rob out in one shot. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers As John chased into the woods to find Aaron, he located him on the edge of a gorge. Aaron begged John to be honest. Finally it all came tumbling out. Realising just how unhinged his husband is, Aaron stayed calm as he tried to convince John to turn himself in and tell him where Mack is. But when Robert showed up again, raging John called the police and framed him! He then grabbed Aaron, told him if they couldn’t be together then no one could have him, and pulled them both off the cliff. They were then seen lying lifeless below. Although Emmerdale is remaining tight-lipped about whether Aaron, John or even Mack in that underground bunker survive, we do know Robert is being blamed. After John’s call to the cops, it’s clear that Robert is well and truly in the frame for pushing them. He is questioned by the police and is frustrated when no one believes his story. Chas is fuming with him and sure he is the one responsible for her son’s condition – dead or alive. She vows revenge on him, but will Aaron ever be able to confirm the truth? They took to social media to make sure show bosses know exactly how they feel about the prospect – and have even given an ultimatum: Either Aaron lives or we stop watching. “I swear if this doesn’t end with it all coming out and everyone knowing it was John I’ll stop watching,” said one. Another agreed: “Nooooo not Aaron, I’ll never watch again.” A third then added: “If you’ve binned off Aaron I’m going to rage.” And a fourth commented similar: “I will stop watching if Aaron is dead and Robert gets the blame!!!” “Danny Miller, absolutely blinding performance – if they’ve killed you off, I am done,” wrote one directly to Aaron actor Danny. And the comments kept coming: “If Aaron dies, I too will die,” shared one. “Emmerdale me and you aren’t friends at the minuet if Aaron dies,” threatened someone else. So will Emmerdale listen?
