Kev arrived in the village this week after Robert kept ignoring his messages. Kev was on day release from prison and it was soon revealed to viewers that he and Robert are married! It was revealed earlier this year that Chris Coghill would be joining Emmerdale as Kev. The mysterious Kev finally arrived this week on day release from prison. He visited Robert and soon dropped the bomb that the pair of them are married. He admitted he was beaten up in prison for being bi-sexual and posh, and it was Kev who protected him, and thus he owes him his life – literally. Robert also shared that he has no intention of divorcing Kev, as he explained that his gangster husband has quite a lot of money. And when he dies, he will get it all. Speaking about this role, actor Chris Coghill said: “I’m thoroughly enjoying my time on Emmerdale, so far. It’s an absolutely lovely place to work.
