There have been quite a lot of rumours for the last while that Mackenzie was being killed off in that showdown with John Sugden. But in a huge twist of fate, it was revealed he was actually alive. But that doesn’t mean he is completely in the clear. And Lawrence Robb has put some fuel on the flames by promising even more huge twists to come… John is keeping Mack hostage (Credit: ITV) Mackenzie is alive in Emmerdale Emmerdale fans never fully believed Mackenzie Boyd was dead. We all know by now that if we don’t see the body then odds are, they’re alive. Finally, it was revealed that John had been keeping Mackenzie hostage in some underground bunker. And while we don’t yet know all of the details, we can sure expect some more things to be uncovered. Because why does he have an underground bunker? And did he kill his mum? article continues below Read all the latest spoilers But while fans were thrilled that Mackenzie was still alive, Emmerdale star Lawrence Robb has revealed that things aren’t looking good for him. Lawrence has promised more drama (Credit: ITV) Lawrence Robb promises more twists to come Speaking to press, Lawrence admitted he was “glad” the secret is out, and he doesn’t have to keep pretending. He revealed: “I’m glad the secret that Mack isn’t quite dead (yet) is over. I have felt slightly deceitful over the last two weeks when people have asked me about his death.” Lawrence also appeared on Lorraine this morning (September 1) on his fifth anniversary on Emmerdale. And he said that Mackenzie isn’t safe just yet. He told her: “There is a lot more drama still to come. He is not out of the woods. But I am looking forward to seeing how it all plays out on screen. Filming the scenes with Ollie was amazing. But it was a long time spent in that bunker!” As for how he felt when he first read the scripts, Lawrence joked that he was scared they were killing him off without telling him.
