Emmerdale star Mike Parr has penned a touching tribute to NHS workers, revealing his partner, Isabelle, was ill during her pregnancy.

Just last week, it was revealed Mike and Isabelle had welcomed their first daughter. And they shared her adorable name, Suzie Rose, along with a few pictures.

Mike then penned his own heartfelt post to his daughter, which was quite beautiful. And now, he has turned his attention to the NHS workers who helped the couple a lot throughout the pregnancy.

Mike Parr pens beautiful NHS tribute

Taking to Instagram late last night (September 25), Mike posted a photo of the NHS logo. And alongside it, he penned a lengthy, heartwarming letter to the staff.

The Ross Barton actor wrote: “To every Midwife, Nurse, Surgeon, Catering Staff, Cleaner, Porter and so many other important roles at Leeds Hospital.

“Every single time my partner had to go into hospital due to her illness (Hyperemesis) or anything else related to pregnancy, we left feeling assured we were in the best hands possible.

“Not once did we leave thinking someone had been short or rude, or that we or are baby were unsafe. We always felt like the care we received was of the highest standard, and that any staff member would have gone above and beyond to help us.”

Mike continued his letter, thanking them. He said: “Even at the end of a 12 hour shift, when you were exhausted, you were always so kind to us.

“I wish I could see all of you individually to say thank you. Myself and Issi are eternally grateful for your care and support.”
