Mimi appeared on Emmerdale as Leanna Cavanagh, the daughter of Dr Liam, from 2018 until her death in 2021. While Leanna wasn’t very popular at the beginning, by the time she died, fans had started to love her character, leaving them heartbroken. But off-screen, the same year as her exit, actress Mimi Slinger met HRVY, and the young couple seemed to be going very smoothly, with them looking quite loved-up at public events! The star looked deep in thought, nodding at the camera and giving a thumbs up. Alongside the video, he captioned it: “I am now single… I blame that Vogue article.” The Vogue article in question referred to a recently published extract titled ‘Is Having A Boyfriend Embarrassing Now?’ which led to quite a lot of conversations. For the few years that she was on Emmerdale, Mimi Slinger played Leanna Cavanagh. Over a few years Leanna went from scheming and feuds, making her dad’s love life a bit more difficult, to being adored by quite a few fans. By the summer of 2021, Leanna had become a much more popular character on Emmerdale. She was even loved-up with Jacob Gallagher and the pair were planning to go travelling. But tragedy hit on her 18th birthday when Leanna discovered Meena Jutla had stolen some money – and had killed someone. Still not aware of how dangerous serial killer Meena was, the pair had a confrontation on the bridge. And it ended with Meena throwing her over the wall.
