Emmerdale has revealed a big John Sugden secret in today’s episode – well, more than one in fact! When Aaron found out the truth about the cottage they were supposedly renting, he confronted John over the lies. But soon there was yet another reveal to come… Aaron makes a suspicious discovery (Credit: ITV) Aaron catches John out On Thursday August 29 we saw John lie to Aaron that the landlord of the cottage didn’t want to sell it to them. Aaron was disappointed, but believed his husband. However he was suspicious of the locked bedroom door. And he was right to be because in Friday’s episode, the neighbour revealed the owner had been a woman and had been dead for over a year. John turned up right at that point and spun yet another cover story. One which, yet again, Aaron seemingly bought. But after they made a big decision about their future, sneaky Mr Sugden headed back into the woods where he has been spending a lot of time lately. And that’s when another huge secret was revealed. He and John return to the village for lunch with Chas and to tell her they are definitely moving away. But Chas can sense something is off and it’s clear Aaron is having doubts about his husband. When Robert finds out the news, he storms round to talk Aaron out of leaving. He begs him to see he’s making a mistake. But when he moves in for a kiss, will Aaron respond? It’s clear Aaron is struggling with his feelings and keen to regain control, John decides to drug him. He spikes Aaron’s whiskey and when one glass takes hold, John has him exactly where he wants him.
