But she’s going to hand it over to granddaughter Sarah when it is born and stay silent about who the parents really are. Chas Dingle thinks it is absolutely the wrong choice and Charity should come clean. But while fans agree it’s the wrong choice, they also don’t think honesty is the best policy in this case. They are certain Charity only has on option: terminate the pregnancy. What a mess! Can Charity really go through with this and keep up her lies? Charity is under pressure from Ross (Credit: ITV) Charity is carrying Ross’ baby in Emmerdale Sarah Sugden thinks her grandmother Charity is acting as a surrogate for her and Jacob Gallagher. She is elated that Charity is pregnant and being overwhelming and overbearing, which is just making everything worse. It’s making everything worse because Charity got drunk and slept with Ross Barton around the same time she was implanted with Sarah’s egg. So when it was revealed she was pregnant, Charity had no idea whose the baby was. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Now a paternity test has revealed she is pregnant with Ross’ child. He’s not letting it drop, he wants answers over whether he’s going to be a dad again. So Charity has found herself in quite the mess. She has a few choices – tell the truth and most likely lose everything and everyone in her life. Lie and pretend the baby is Sarah’s or terminate the pregnancy. Charity feels she has no option now (Credit: ITV) Charity’s choice At first Charity believed the only option was to have an abortion. She booked one and asked Chas – the only other person who knows the full truth – to go with her. Chas was appalled and insisted getting rid of the baby was not the answer. She said Charity had no other choice than to tell the truth. Although Charity couldn’t go through with the termination, she is still not about to be honest. She knows it would lose her husband Mack as well as detroy her relationship with Sarah forever. So now she has decided to pretend there’s nothing wrong and the baby is Sarah’s. She faked some paternity test results to give to Ross and he is very relieved the baby is not his. Chas, however, is not happy. Not happy at all. She has made her feelings perfectly clear: Charity has to tell the truth. In turn, Charity has made her feelings perfectly clear: she will never tell the truth. So they’re at a stand-0ff and Sarah is suspicious. It’s a whole big, nasty mess. So what do fans think Charity should do? Charity has some serious explaining to do (Credit: ITV) Exclusive poll reveals Charity only has one choice In a poll run by Emmerdale Insider, fans have declared she must have a termination after all. 34 per cent of those who voted think that is her only option. However, 30 percent of people agree with Chas and say the truth “will come out eventually” so Charity might as well be honest now. The idea that Charity could keep the baby and raise it as a family with Ross and their other son, Moses, was also a popular choice, with 19 percent of viewers thinking this would be best. But only 15 percent felt Charity’s idea of giving the baby to Sarah and saying nothing was the right way to go. Chas and Charity are not on the same page (Credit: ITV) So what will she do? At the moment, Charity is adamant she will keep on lying. But will Chas agree to lie with her? Ross is off her case for now, Sarah is suspicious, but really non-the-wise, so can Charity pull this off? Well, she probably can. That is until the baby needs some sort of medical procedure and blood tests reveal whose baby it really is! But will we have to wait that long? Or will the truth come out way before then?
