Mack really does have nine lives

Eagle-eyed Emmerdale fans have spotted a key clue that Mackenzie Boyd will survive yet another near-death experience.

Mack has been locked in a bunker in the woods for a few weeks now after he discovered the truth about Nate Robinson’s death.

For some reason John Sugden has kept Mack alive, but with John now in hospital, Mack is completely alone. Fans were concerned this would mean the end for Mack. But now they’ve spotted a clue that hints at Mack’s survival.

The future looks bleak for Mack

A few weeks ago, Mack made the mistake of discovering the truth about Nate’s death. Knowing that Mack could bring his whole house of cards tumbling down, John chased him through the woods with a bow and arrow.

After shooting him with an arrow, John then brought a rock down on Mack’s head. This led viewers to believe Mack had been killed off.

However, it was later revealed that Mack was alive and John was keeping him chained up in an underground bunker in the woods.

Mack almost managed a great escape, but John caught up with him while wielding an axe. Once again, fans feared the worst as it didn’t make sense for John to keep Mack alive.

This week, John supplied Mack with a syringe and told him his life would be quickly over if he injected himself with the contents. John then informed Mack he would not be coming back.

Spoilers for next week reveal that Mack contemplates using the syringe when he realises the chances of him being rescued are low.

However, fans now believe there is a chance Mack survives… again!

Fans spot Mack survival clue

Actor Lawrence Robb, who plays Mack, has appeared in a photo posted on the Emmerdale Tour Instagram page this week.

He is shown meeting fans as they do a tour of the Emmerdale village, leading viewers to deduce that Mack does not die!

“HE IS ALIVE!!” wrote one fan. While a second fan added: “Well… if he’s in studio this week, it means he’s showing up in our screens two months from now, so he survives.”

A third fan wrote on X: “Surely this must mean something? He wouldn’t be around for the tours if he wasn’t there still filming, surely?”

A fourth fan was also hopeful for Mack’s future, writing: “Praying that Lawrence being the star during this weekend’s Emmerdale tour means Mack doesn’t inject himself and is found alive. Keeping everything crossed Robert tells the police something that triggers a search of the area.”
