Harvey Rogerson – who has played Leo for 11 years – has been sharing some behind-the-scenes filming snaps of the scenes over on his Instagram page. April realises she almost killed Leo (Credit: ITV) Leo’s shocking overdose in Emmerdale April has been living a double life, after being groomed into becoming a drug dealer by fearsome gangster Ray. As a result, she left Leo unsupervised, and while she was away, he found the pills in her bag. Thinking they were sweets, Leo helped himself to some. And the scenes have been addressed on Harvey’s social media page, which is run by his family. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers “Thank you for all the lovely comments and messages about tonight’s episode,” the post read. “Filming medical scenes of any kind can be daunting for children with additional needs as they may have had more real life experience of medical interventions than other children. “The cast and crew at Emmerdale truly went above and beyond to ensure Harvey was comfortable with his role in the scene and as you can see he thoroughly enjoyed filming being rushed into the ambulance… but not before he had lots of laughs with Chris and Andy the paramedics, who he renamed Bob and Bob, who were then referred to that by everyone for the remainder of the day. “They took lots of time showing him inside the ambulance which he loved. Earlier this year, the popular Emmerdale star showed off his new look via the platform. The photo was accompanied by a caption, which read: “Looking cool … New glasses day, thank you Faizah and the team @the.spectacle.factory for being amazing as always.” What happens next with Leo in Emmerdale? Thankfully, doctors examined Leo and assured he’d make a full recovery. The story set the stage for April to reveal her secret, and its impact will ripple through upcoming scenes.
