Emmerdale fans have been left shocked as tonight’s episode (September 29) revealed that the mysterious Kev’s true identity. And how he is connected with Robert Sugden. But now, fans have been left theorising exactly what Kev will get up to. And following some clues in the episode, many believe he will be the one to kill John Sugden. Kev comes to the village to see Robert (Credit: ITV) Kev is revealed to be the husband of Robert Sugden Last week, Robert kept getting mysterious texts from a number with the name ‘K’. The texts were telling him to stop ignoring him and that they needed to talk. But Robert’s attention was focussed on Aaron Dingle, as the pair had finally be growing close again. So naturally Robert wouldn’t want anything to mess that up. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers However, in a shock turn of events, Kev showed up in the village tonight, and was revealed to be Robert’s husband. The pair married during his time in prison as Kev offered him safety and protection from being attacked and targeted. Kev is still in prison, but had been let out on day release to tell Robert he had six months left to live. But when Robert explained to him that someone tried to set him up, Kev instantly wanted a name, willing to kill the person. Fans debated whether or not Kev could kill John on both Reddit and X after watching the early release of the episode. And it’s safe to say the general consensus was yes. One fan wrote: “I don’t necessarily think Kev is good news. But I did laugh a little when he threatened to murder John. I know Robert wanted to avoid having this man come to the village. But he could have called in that one favour!” Another penned: “He seems to have issues with impulse control or just control period – hence the snapping of the rubber band on is wrist. Yep, he’s definitely going to end up killing John!” A third wrote on X: “I would love to see John Sugden in a room with Kev. We all know he’d be dead.” We all know John Sugden will return at some point. We just don’t know when. So, perhaps Kev follows through with getting rid of him for Robert.
