In the clip, all fans saw was a scene of Mack running through the woods. Though it appeared that someone was chasing him, it was not revealed who that was — or why. Until now, that is! Tonight’s episode (Wednesday, August 20), saw Mack learn that so-called ‘removal man’ Ben was actually one of John’s army buddies. This is a key piece of evidence that John might have been responsible for Nate’s disappearance… and murder, of course. The truth behind the flash-forward will finally be revealed (Credit: ITV) Flash-forward outcome to be revealed Though many of the storylines seen in the flash-forwards have already played out, the Mack storyline remained a mystery…until now. As a recent trailer already revealed, the scenes in the woods are set to play out tomorrow night (Thursday, August 21) and the truth will finally be revealed. As the trailer depicts John Sugden smashing a rock down, while Mack lays on the floor, fans are already predicting this could be the end of Mack. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Others, however, are convinced he’ll simply be held hostage, but presumed dead. Whether or not he makes it out alive remains to be seen, but it would certainly appear that Mack is in danger. With tonight’s episode showing Mack joining the dots to uncover a key piece of evidence in Nate’s case, it seems as though he’s on a collision course with John Sugden. And, if that arrow is anything to go by, he’s still pretty handy with a bow. How much danger is Mack in? Was he chasing someone or was he running away from someone or something? At last all will be revealed. The flashback scene was filmed last October and at the time we didn’t know when it was going to play out within 2025 – so just in case there could be a future issue with hair continuity – as potentially I could have grown a mullet by the end of the year – we decided to stick a beanie hat on Mack.” He added: “I’m excited for the audience to finally see it unfold and how it fits into Mack’s storyline.” The outcome of the flash-forward remains a mystery for now.
