And it’s not great news for him. For the last while, Ray has been manipulating Dylan into dealing drugs for him. And things escalated so much that now April is fully involved too. Convinced they need to pay off their debts to Ray, April and Dylan keep doing more and more jobs for him. But after a conversation regarding Donna Windsor’s death, Emmerdale fans think Ray might go out the same way. Donna killed herself and Gary North (Credit: YouTube) How did Donna die in Emmerdale? In a heartbreaking storyline, Donna was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. Knowing she didn’t have much time to live, she and Ross got involved in some criminal activity to make sure April had money to be cared for. But Donna didn’t tell anyone she was ill. Things took a turn when she got involved with crime lord Gary North. Donna tried to set Gary up on drug charges but he ultimately caught her and threatened April. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Donna and Gary ended up on a stand-off on the rooftop. And when she realised he was going to release fake explicit photos of her daughter, Donna decided the only way to get rid of him was to handcuff them together and jump off the roof. Ross had to watch the whole thing unfold, and was devastated that he couldn’t save the woman he loved. But over 10 years later in Emmerdale, April is now involved with drug dealer Ray. And it seems he had history with Gary North. So, now Emmerdale fans are wondering if that could have foreshadowed the end of his own storyline. Ray was shocked to hear who April’s mum was (Credit: ITV) Could Ray leave the same way? On Friday night’s episode (September 19) April and Ray took a drive, threatening her to keep quiet and continue working for him. It was in the car that April revealed she wasn’t scared of him, and mentioned Donna’s death. Ray’s interest was immediately piqued, revealing that Donna actually saved him and his gangster friends by killing Gary North. But now Emmerdale fans are wondering if there is more to his history with Gary North. And if he’s going to meet the same end. One shared an image of Donna and Gary falling off the building on X, writing: “After tonight’s episode, I’m convinced this will be Ray’s fate.” Another added: “Oh I see it ending this way too. But I hope it’s not April who sacrifices herself.” A third however thought if this happens we could be saying goodbye to the legendary PC Swirling. They commented: “Don’t manifest Swirling’s death like that.” The ending of Ray’s Emmerdale storyline remains to be seen. But with spoilers indicating he will strike up a romance with Laurel, something tells us we have a while to go.
