John’s reign of terror has been going on for a year now, and quite frankly everyone wants it to be over soon. But these last few weeks have been what we have all wanted to see – the huge dramatic downfall. But now, some Emmerdale fans fear he’s going to keep getting away with his actions until Christmas. And if this happens – what does that mean for Aaron and poor Mackenzie? Robert and Aaron both know the truth (Credit: ITV) John’s downfall feels close Aaron has finally discovered the truth about his husband. And he also knows that Mack is being held hostage in a bunker in the woods. The only issue is Aaron is in a coma. And nobody will believe Robert. So, right now, John’s entire freedom is hanging on by a thread. Because if Aaron were to wake up and remember everything, then the whole storyline could be over in a flash. However, since there’s no confirmation that Danny Miller is leaving, we have to assume Aaron will wake up. And with some fans theorising he will have amnesia, could John’s downfall actually not be for months? But somehow Emmerdale fans think the storyline might drag on for a little while longer. Taking to a Reddit thread, one fan fumed: “They’re going to milk this fracas between John and Robert until December aren’t they?” Another fan responded: “I am most concerned about Mack at this stage. I didn’t initially like his character but he has grown on me.” A third added: “I have had enough of it. If they drag this until December then I am going to dip out for a while.” But one fan remained adamant the storyline will end soon. They penned: “I don’t think it will go on until December – unless you count the aftermath. Taking to a different Reddit thread, Emmerdale viewers were discussing the unrealistic route. One said: “Emmerdale have a proven track record of doing psychopath / sociopath storylines extremely well. But oh my they have got this one wrong.” Another agreed: “It’s getting SO tedious now.” A third added: “I do find it implausible how everyone is such a big fan of John and automatically believe the worst of Robert and Mack.” “Mack’s own wife didn’t seem suspicious at all that he ended their marriage with a voicemail.
