It’s been a huge few weeks for the John Sugden storyline in Emmerdale. And he has managed to convince everyone that Robert is the villain of the story. For some reason, nobody – except for Matty – has had a hard time believing it. But it’s been Victoria Sugden who has been John’s biggest supporter, while Chas has been Robert’s biggest enemy. And Emmerdale fans can’t wait for her to realise just how wrong she has been. However, a new theory predicts a huge twist whenever she does discover the truth. Despite lots of reasons to be suspicious, she has always believed every single thing he has said. But when Robert got out of prison, she had her brother back and we all thought that would mean she would start questioning John. But it didn’t. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers In fact, Robert’s return made her even more supportive of John. And for some reason very anti-Robert. So much so that when John told everyone that Robert pushed him and Aaron off the cliff, Vic believed him straight away. And since then, she has been trying to ignore Rob’s calls and spend all of her time in John’s hospital room. Victoria has rarely taken Robert’s side since his return (Credit:: ITV) Emmerdale fans think Victoria will kill him Aaron may be in a coma, but the truth about John is still to come out. And now, fans believe Victoria will be so devastated she believed his lies that she will kill him herself. There’s been a lot of speculation about how John will leave the show, but many fans think death is the only proper option. So, Victoria seems to be the main likely suspect. Speaking on Facebook, Emmerdale fans theorised who could be the one to kill John, if that’s how the story ends. One wrote: “They can’t keep dragging this on. But if John does get killed off, who do we think will kill him? I think Victoria.” Another commented: “I think Vic, maybe?” A third suggested: “I can see Vic flipping out when the truth comes out.” John’s ending remains unknown (Credit: ITV) Does John die? The end of John’s storyline remains to be seen. Whether John lives and goes to trial, or he is killed in dramatic scenes isn’t known. While fans may have their own theories of what happens, Emmerdale hasn’t actually confirmed how or when John will depart. We knew John actor Oliver Farnworth originally signed a one-year contract back in August 2024. So, if that hasn’t been extended then we would expect the end of John’s reign of terror to come very soon.
