Robert arrested by DS Jordan in Emmerdale

Shocking scenes in Emmerdale this week saw John Sugden drag his husband Aaron down the side of a gorge, putting both their lives at risk.

Prior to jumping, John made a 999 call where he faked being threatened by Robert. Robert could then do nothing but watch as John grabbed Aaron and pulled him over the edge of the cliff.

While John is now awake, Aaron has been placed in an induced coma following a bleed on the brain.

Robert shared the truth about what happened. But unfortunately for him, everyone believes John is a Saint.

DS Jordan soon arrived at the hospital and arrested Robert for attempted murder. He questioned Robert. And something tells us he will have a lot more questions coming up.

Tonight’s episode also shows John get a visit from DS Jordan and he tells a very different story to the one shared by Robert.

With a lot to unwrap, as John still hasn’t been caught, it seems DS Jordan has his work cut out and may be sticking around for a while.

Who plays DS Jordan in Emmerdale?

DS Jordan is played by Irish actor Frank Laverty. After graduating from drama college in Dublin, he spent many years as an ‘Abbey player’, appearing regularly on stage at the Abbey Theatre.

His TV credits include playing Ronan Connolly in Glenroe, Kelly in Rebel Heart and Tony O’Keefe in On Home Ground. He has also appeared in Doctors, Casualty and hit Apple TV+ series Bad Sisters.

In addition, the actor has actually been in Emmerdale before. Although he only appeared in one episode, fans may remember him. His appearance aired way back in 2021.

Frank played a character called Greg, who was a business contact of Kim’s. He flirted with Gabby Thomas, making her feel very uncomfortable. He was then scared away when Moira stormed in with a shotgun!

But now he’s back as an entirely different character. This one has the chance to be liked by all fans if he puts an end to John Sugden. And if he frees Robert!
