Caught up in his own grief and anger, Cain fails to support his family during the anniversary of Zak’s death. Can anyone save him before he self-destructs? Moira tries to reach out to troubled Cain (Credit: ITV) Cain wants revenge in Emmerdale spoilers Moira has been frantic with worry over Cain’s radio silence since he left for France in search of John. Cain was all ready to shoot his son’s killer dead, but Caleb betrayed him by agreeing to smuggle John out of the country. He did this in order to protect Ruby’s killer secret and stop John going to the police. And in exchange for Caleb’s help, John told him the location of Anthony’s body. Unsurprisingly, Cain didn’t like the idea of John walking free. He made the journey to France to try and find him. But as Cain quickly discovered it was like searching for a needle in a haystack. Next week, Moira is feeling the strain in her husband’s absence. But just as she’s starting to fear the worst, a disheveled looking Cain walks through the door. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Moira can see that Cain is struggling (Credit: ITV) Cain shuts Moira out Although relieved to have him home, Moira can see straight away that Cain is in a dark place. He’s withdrawn, moody and using alcohol to numb his pain. Sitting down with him at the kitchen table, Moira gently asks if there’s any update on John. However, Cain doesn’t want to discuss the matter. He evades Moira’s questions and choses to wallow in his own misery. Moira also reminds Cain of an important date approaching. It’s the one year anniversary of Zak’s death, and as head of the Dingle family, Cain has a duty to honour the occasion. But despite Moira’s best efforts, Cain seems firmly in self-destruct mode. Cain lets Sam and Belle down (Credit: ITV) Cain abandons his family in Emmerdale spoilers As the anniversary of Zak’s death arrives, Sam and Belle both wonder if Cain will show up to pay his respects. And in the end, he doesn’t. The siblings visit their dad’s grave and express their disappointment and sadness at Cain’s no-show. But despite the somber occasion, Sam and Belle are lifted by sharing happy memories of the times they spent with Zak. Comforting one another, talk then turns to Cain and his wellbeing. Belle and Sam are united in concern for their big brother and want to help. But will Cain allow them before he completely spirals out of control?
