Unable to tell Sarah the truth, Charity goes behind her granddaughter’s back and arranges a secret termination. But will she actually go through with it? Charity is under pressure from Ross (Credit: ITV) Chas discovers Charity’s dirty secret in Emmerdale spoilers It’s been over a week since Charity underwent a paternity test to discover if Ross is the father of her unborn baby. The cheating pair were told to expect a 10 day wait, but time is now up and Ross wants answers. He pays Charity a visit and orders her to chase up the clinic so they know one way or other. Soon it’s the moment of truth for Charity as she makes a call to get the DNA results. And it’s not the answer she was hoping for. Meanwhile, Sarah and Jacob are oblivious to the truth and eagerly planning the arrival of their child. Charity is consumed with guilt seeing how happy the young couple are. And this is made even worse when Mack surprises her with a spontaneous romantic date. Later at The Woolpack, Charity is panicking over what she’s going to do when Chas clocks her anxious state. She confronts her cousin and asks what’s going on. She’s fully aware that if the truth got out it would destroy Sarah’s motherhood dreams and wreck their relationship. And there would also be no going back for her and Mack. Chas urges Charity to do the right thing and be honest, but she can’t risk losing her loved ones. Instead, Charity decides she’s got no other option but to terminate her pregnancy. She makes a call and arranges a secret abortion behind Sarah’s back. Afterwards, Charity’s self-loathing increases when Sarah shows her a letter from the hospital, confirming the date of her next scan. Sarah is buzzing with excitement, but Charity is sheepish in her response, knowing full well what she’s done. Will Sarah pick up on her gran’s distress? Will Charity go through with the termination?
