Pregnant Charity undergoes a DNA test in Emmerdale spoilers next week and find out once and for all if she’s carrying Ross’s baby. Will her worst fears be confirmed? Or after all this, is the baby going to turn out to be Sarah and Jacob’s?

Emmerdale spoilers: Charity is suffering in silence

Charity has known from the start that the baby growing inside her tummy might belong to her and Ross. So far she’s been unable to tell Sarah the truth, through fear of shattering her granddaughter’s dream to become a mum.

But as Charity approaches the three month mark in her pregnancy, the guilt is really getting to her. Ross also is struggling to deal with their deception. He’s been putting pressure on Charity to take a DNA test to determine if he’s the dad.

While all this has been going on, Charity’s also had to deal with Mack’s disappearance. She believes he’s walked out on the marriage, but viewers know Mack is trapped in killer John’s underground lair. Is he dead or alive by this point? Who knows!

Charity undergoes a DNA test

Unable to deal with the torture of not knowing whose baby she’s having, Charity decides it’s time to take action. So the very next day she undergoes a DNA test.

With the dead done, Charity lets Ross know. Chas spies the former lovers looking all furtive and knows they’re hiding something. Will she confront Charity and force the truth out of her cousin?

Charity and Ross now face an anxious wait as they’re told it could up to 10 days before the DNA results are in.

The pair are hoping they confirm that Sarah and Jacob are the tot’s parents and they can put this sordid saga thing behind them. But what will happen if the baby does turn out to be a mini Barton?

Will Ross force Charity to confess to Sarah? Or will they carry on living a lie?
