Meanwhile, Liam has a call out from Owen, but why? Elsewhere, we finally see where Bear is. Here’s what’s happening in Emmerdale spoilers Fri, July 18. John found the funeral hard (Credit: ITV) 1. John is in a state John Sugden played the hero again yesterday, but it’s clear it took its toll. After witnessing the Dingles arguing with the Robinsons outside Nate’s funeral service, John stepped in and gave them what for. He insisted they all had a right to grieve together and eventually everyone agreed to attend the funeral. However, John’s heroic act saw him in a pickle when Tracy then leaned on him for support and asked him to read her eulogy. Taking the stand and reading out heartfelt words about the man he killed was too much for John. He almost confessed, but at the last minute made a plea for peace and forgiveness. There was clapping and adoration and John managed to keep his secret – but at what cost? Owen needs a doctor in Emmerdale spoilers A few weeks ago Owen went on a date with Robert and tried to spike him. But John saw it happen and stepped in to save his brother. Earlier this week, Owen was randomly John’s patient at the surgery. He claimed he needed sleeping tablets and that Liam had prescribed them to him previously. However, John immediately recognised him as Robert’s spiker and knew exactly what Owen was intending to do with those pills. Furious John revealed who he was and then threw Owen out, accusing him of being aggressive and abusive. Robert witnessed the exchange and was shaken to see Owen hanging around again. Bear can’t find the courage to contact Paddy (Credit: ITV) 3. Where’s Bear? After Bear left following his odd behaviour and awful comments to Paddy, Paddy and Mandy think he is visiting an old friend in Ireland. But Fri, July 18 we see Bear and that couldn’t be further from the truth. He’s a long way from home – in the middle of nowhere – and a long way from reconnecting with Paddy. Paddy tries to overcome his fears in Emmerdale spoilers After being unable to treat a dog at the vets and having a panic attack, Paddy feels awful. He was also terrified of friendly Chip and shouted at Vinny to get the pooch away from him. Paddy admits to Mandy Fri, July 18 he is terrified of dogs and can’t deal with them. Jacob exposes a secret Things are getting confusing for Jacob with his and Sarah’s surrogacy picking up pace. Now he knows Charity is the one who’s going to carry his baby, Jacob is all sorts of confused about it. He told Sarah he was on board with the idea, but is he really? And although they’ve agreed to keep it a secret given Charity hasn’t told Mack, it seems it’s not long before Jacob fails to keep his mouth shut. Will he regret blurting out his big secret?
