Unaware of the danger he’s in, Aaron drinks the spiked drink and falls totally under his husband’s control. Aaron has no idea of who John really is (Credit: ITV) John has Aaron trapped in Emmerdale spoilers Viewers have been screaming at their screens for Aaron to wake up and realise he’s married to a murderer. Robert has tried on several occasions to get Aaron to open his eyes to John’s true nature, but it’s been to no avail. Now, in the aftermath of his intimate encounter with Robert, Aaron has decided he’s done with the Dales. John is victorious at finally having Aaron all to himself and wants to ensure he never sees Robert again. In a bid to completely isolate Aaron from his family, John has persuaded him they should move into his childhood home. It’s set in the remote countryside, miles away from the village. Consumed with jealousy, he hatches a plan to drug Aaron, therefore making his husband completely dependent on him. When Aaron’s not looking John gets to work and spikes a bottle of whisky with some kind of tranquiliser. After preparing the laced liquor, John is able to manipulate Aaron into taking a swig. It’s not long before the drugs kick in and Aaron comes over woozy. He’s surprised that one glass of whisky would made him feel so unsteady, but John is there to catch him when he falls. He reassures Aaron there’s nothing to be afraid of and he’ll look after him. He has plans for a cosy night in, with Aaron exactly where he wants him. But as John leaves the cottage, Aaron pours himself another glass of the drugged whisky, not realising he’s at risk of suffering a fatal overdose. Will John return before Aaron downs the drink?
