Nicola and Dawn clash over the kids (Credit: ITV) The Kings and Tates are at war in Emmerdale spoilers Battle lines were drawn between the King and Tate families after Carl and Lucas were involved in a fight at school. Nicola was adamant she wasn’t having any Tate nonsense around her kids, but then the police got called. It turned out Carl had been accused of sending an indecent image of underage Clemmie and would face investigation. As the week kicks off, Jimmy and Nicola are nervous about their son’s impending police interview. Carl owns up and admits he did share Clemmie’s picture online. Nicola insists he’s learnt his lesson and shouldn’t face any further punishment, but it’s clear the police are taking it very seriously. With Carl now facing an uncertain future, tensions continue to rise between the warring clans. She reaches out to Nicola and tries to calmly discuss the matter, mother-to-mother. Unfortunately it only makes things worse and as Nicola gets defensive their chat quickly turns into another row. Afterwards, Laurel tries to comfort distressed Nicola over Carl’s troubles. But as Nicola gets more and more worked up, Laurel is forced to make a shock confession. While Nicola reels, Dawn is left frustrated by the school’s lack of support over the issue. Joe intervenes and comes up with a suggestion, but that creates even more conflict for Dawn. The friends agree they need to work together to try and protect their teens from the dark side of socials. Meanwhile over at Home Farm, Dawn decides it’s time to get honest with Joe. She recounts the details of her troubled past, revealing how she got coerced into a life of sex work and drug addiction. Dawn draws parallels to April’s horrific time living on the streets. She also reveals how she met Clemmie’s birth mum while living rough. The discussion ends with Dawn pledging her commitment to do whatever it takes to look after Clemmie.
