The vet is shocked to learn his dad never made it to Ireland to see his old wrestling pals and seems to have vanished. Fearing the worst, Paddy decides to call the police and report Bear as a missing person. Will they be able to track him down? Bear has gone missing in Emmerdale spoilers Earlier this year, Bear upped and left the village after telling Paddy he off to Ireland to visit his old wrestling mates. His abrupt departure came after weeks of difficulty between father and son, which had left Paddy hurt by Bear’s behaviour. The normally happy OAP had suddenly morphed into a short-tempered bully, who was constantly lashing at his loved ones. When Bear announced he was doing the off, Paddy didn’t ask him to stay. This led Bear to assume his son wanted him gone, so he got into his hire car and drove out of the village. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Weeks later, viewers saw Bear again. He was standing in the middle of a field, next to his car and it was suggested he’d been living out of the vehicle. Bear picked up his phone to contact Paddy, but couldn’t bring himself to make that call. Paddy has thought all this time his dad was having fun overseas. But he’s about to discover that’s not the case… Paddy recieves concerning news about Bear Next week, Paddy is troubled when he recieves a package addressed to his dad. He and Mandy sit down to open the box and are shocked to discover Bear never made it to his pals in Ireland. It seems the former wrestler has just vanished into thin air. Thrown into panic, Paddy starts calling round Bear’s acquaintances, but none of them have seen or heard from him. This is very worrying for Paddy as he reflects on how fragile Bear seemed earlier in the year. His concerns for his father’s wellbeing mount when he realises Bear didn’t get in touch with Eve on her birthday. Adamant that nothing would have stopped him contacting his granddaughter, Paddy resolves it’s time to involve the police.
