But on the inside they’re being eaten up by secrets and lies. Vinny doesn’t know Gabby cheated on him, and he’s not told his wife the truth about Mike. As the week gets underway, Vinny is panicking about testifying in court against Mike, fearing it could destroy his life. He’s also anxious about the adopting Thomas and whether the little boy will accept him as his new daddy. Vinny’s worries continue to mount when he learns the defence are intending to call Gabby as a witness. He lies to her about what the case involves, then decides there’s no way he can testify. Desperate to protect his marriage, Vinny tells the police he can no longer help. Viewers will know that Kim’s son Jamie is Thomas’s biological father, but has been absent from his life these past few years. The thug is demanding Gabby’s money as compensation and won’t back down until he gets what he wants. In the end Vinny is forced to make a deal – he promises to destroy the prosecution against Mike, but only if he keeps Gabby out of it. Mike agrees to the deal, but has no idea Vinny is bluffing. He’s hatched a plan to tell the truth in court and get rid of Mike for good. Meanwhile, Gabby starts to suspect Vinny isn’t being honest with her about the upcoming case. She gives her hubby the chance to ‘fess up, but Vinny digs himself into an even bigger hole. Gabby is exasperated, but is reminded by Laurel of the secret she’s still harbouring.
