In a show of support, Kerry decides to skip her shift at Depot, only to get fired by cold-hearted boss Jai. But it’s Kerry who ends up having the last laugh as Caleb takes her side and publicly humiliates Jai for his behaviour. Painful memories resurface for Kerry, Jacob and Matty (Credit: ITV) Kerry has a tough day in Emmerdale spoilers Hard work and Kerry have never really gone hand in hand, and the gobby Geordie gets it the neck when she arrives late for her shift at the Depot. Jobsworth Jai isn’t impressed by her tardiness and lambasts Kerry in front of everyone else. A short while later, Kerry is intrigued to receive a call from Matty saying the coroner’s report into the limo crash – that claimed the life of her daughter Amy – has arrived. Kerry is desperate to read its contents and asks Billy if he’ll cover for her. She then heads over to David’s Shop, where Matty and Jacob are waiting to go through the document. The trio sit down and read the report, which contains painful details of their loved one’s last moments. Meanwhile, Jai has discovered Kerry has disappeared and is not impressed! He tries ringing her, but Kerry doesn’t answer. Jai tells Kerry, “You’re fired!” (Credit: ITV) Kerry gets the sack Continuing to ignore Jai’s calls, Kerry decides to try and lift Matty’s spirits with a drinking game. She helps herself to a bottle of fizz and two glasses. But just as they’re about to drown their sorrows, in walks Jai. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Not realising what’s going on, Jai just assumes Kerry has wagged work to go on a bender. And before she has chance to explain, Jai waves his finger and Kerry and tells her she’s fired! While Jacob and Matty reel in disgust, they both worry that losing her job might already tip a fragile Kerry over the edge. Caleb is annoyed with Jai (Credit: ITV) Next day, Caleb discovers what Jai has done and is outraged by his actions. He storms straight over to the Depot and demands that Jai re-hires Kerry immediately. Caleb then forces Jai to formally apologise to Kerry, leaving him feeling humiliated and belittled. Kerry and Jai get locked in the office together (Credit: ITV) Jai and Kerry get trapped in Emmerdale spoilers Kerry can’t contain her delight at making Jai feel small and continues to gloat over her victory. The pair have a confrontation in The Woolpack, but Kerry is left baffled when Jai labels her victory “pyrrhic” – implying it will come at a great cost to her. Jai is always a man of his word, and sets about trying to make Kerry’s work life a living hell. As tensions reach boiling point, Kerry storms into the office and tells Jai he can shove his job. But as she goes to leave, she accidentally pulls the handle off the door, trapping them both inside. With no way out, Kerry and Jai are forced to put up with one another until someone comes to their rescue. Will the foes reach a truce and end up being friends? Or perhaps something even more?
