Following a few weddings and a couple of flings, Laurel Thomas currently finds herself single. But spoilers for next week reveal she is rather taken with a newcomer, but once again, it will not end well. Laurel had a fling with Charles (Credit: ITV) Laurel’s romantic history Laurel’s big love was Ashley Thomas. The two married in 2005, but after some ups and downs they split and Laurel started a relationship with Marlon Dingle. Laurel and Marlon became engaged in 2013 and they married in 2014. But with both parties harbouring feelings for their exes, the marriage was doomed to fail. Eventually, it was Laurel’s alcoholism which brought an end to the relationship for good. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Laurel then reunited with Ashley and the pair tied the knot again. But she was devastated when he lost his battle with dementia in 2017. Following his death, she leaned on his mate Bob Hope and the two had an affair, despite he being in a relationship with Brenda at the time. When Bob and Brenda broke up, Laurel and Bob tried to make a proper go of their relationship, but Laurel realised it was too soon after Ashley’s death. Her next major relationship was with Jai Sharma. The pair married in 2023, but once again, the marriage was short-lived and the couple split a year later after Laurel discovered Jai’s betrayal and dishonesty. More recently, an argument with vicar Charles turned to passion and he and Laurel enjoyed a brief fling. But could a new romance be on the cards for Laurel? Drug deal Ray catches Laurel’s attention (Credit: itv) Laurel’s new love interest confirmed Spoilers reveal that Laurel sets her sights on newcomer Ray. After speaking to him next week, Laurel is rather taken with charming Ray. This connection had actually been previously predicted by fans, with one saying: “Joe Absolom said Ray has charm, so I’m sure he’s going to end up with someone. And Laurel is the top of my list.” While another fan said: “I’m rooting for her and Ray now.” But with Ray’s line of work, it’s unlikely that a match between Laurel and Ray would be a success. Laurel is not aware that “charming” Ray has lured her former stepdaughter April Windsor into his evil empire. He tricked April and her boyfriend Dylan into believing they owe him a fortune and as a result he has them doing drug drop offs for him.
