Brutal ITV trailer reveals the moment John 'kills' Mack

A new ITV trailer for Emmerdale has revealed the chilling moment that John Sugden apparently kills Mackenzie Boyd. It was reported earlier this month that Mack is to be ‘killed off’ in upcoming scenes on the soap.

And, in a new trailer for next week’s episodes, a terrified Mack can be seen running through the woods toward his grisly fate.

Is this the end for Mack?

ITV trailer reveals moment John kills Mack

In the trailer, Aaron and Robert discuss packing their bags and leaving the village. But it’s Mack who’s in danger, as he runs through the woods.

“I’m guessing you’ve joined up the dots,” John says, as the trailer cuts between Mack’s jog and a very sinister conversation between the two men. Mack then appears to trip, rolling down the hill, where he comes to rest against a fallen tree. “Please…” he begs, as he looks up fearfully at John.

As the trailer ends, John raises a rock above his head, ready to finish Mack off. “Guess I really am the bad guy,” John intones gravely as the trailer cuts to black.

When is Mack leaving Emmerdale?

Revealing news of Mack’s death, a source told The Sun: “The scenes are going to be really harrowing for fans to watch. “Mackenzie has been in so many scrapes and dangerous positions but this time it looks like he’s bitten off more than he can chew.

“Viewers will be on the edges of their seats watching what happens.”

According to the tabloid, these scenes will air ‘later this year.’ There’s a world of difference between ‘later this year’ and ‘next week,’ though. So it’s entirely possible that Mack could survive this initial encounter with John, only to be killed off later… after being held captive, perhaps.

Or maybe all is as its seems, and this is how Mack is set to meet his maker. We can only hope, for his sake, that John makes it quick.
