Debbie and Eli's night of passion gets interrupted! Classic Emmerdale Spoilers Share By Kerry Barrett Aug 18 2025 By Kerry Barrett Aug 18 2025 Debbie is furious with Eli after he tries to help her in Classic Emmerdale previews for episodes airing on ITV3 Monday August 18 – Friday August 22. But her anger soon turns to passion as she twigs what he’s been up to. Meanwhile, Pearl is worried that Eric has feelings for her, while Rosemary piles the pressure on Perdy, trying to cause her to have a breakdown. Will anyone realise what she’s up to? These episodes originally aired in June 2007. Read on to find out more in our Classic Emmerdale preview. Carl’s given a grilling Eli and Carl wake up after a night in the cells. Eli is released but Barraclough takes the opportunity to quiz Carl some more, determined to get to the bottom of who killed Tom King. She presses him on whether Matthew could be the murderer, and Carl is rattled. But just as he’s bracing himself to confess, Vaughan bursts in and interrupts, angry at Barraclough’s obsession. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Later, Barraclough is annoyed when Vaughan and Dasari tell her the murder isn’t a priority any more. Meanwhile, Carl drowns his sorrows in the Woolpack and almost starts a fight with Eli. Jimmy is forced to intervene. Eli and Debbie get passionate (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock) Eli and Debbie get passionate Eli’s in trouble when he tries to help Debbie. Flush with cash, Debbie buys herself some fancy bits for her cottage. Desperate to get into her good books, he takes it upon himself to screw her new top-of-the-range TV on the wall. Irritated, Debbie tells him to take it down as she hasn’t finished redecorating but as he tries to do as she asked, the telly falls off the wall and crashes on to the floor with a thud! Later a furious Debbie tells Eli he’ll have to replace the television he broke. Then there’s more bad news when Jasmine comes home to find the cottage ransacked. Eli calms Debbie down and tells her she’ll be able to claim on the insurance. She realises that he’s ‘burgled’ the cottage in an attempt to help her out. Debbie is impressed at his ingenuity and her anger turns to passion. Chas catches them in bed together and isn’t happy. Then Debbie isn’t happy as Eli chases Chas, wanting to explain! Eli takes revenge! The next day, Debbie tries to hide her hurt at being abandoned by Eli the night before. When Chas quizzes her about it, she pretends it was just a one-off. But Chas twigs that Eli has feelings for Debbie so she warns her to put Eli straight. When Debbie sees Eli she lets her hurt out, and viciously insults him, telling him that he’s a loser. Eli is gutted. And in typical Dingle fashion, he takes his upset out on Debbie’s stolen stuff, violently smashing them up! With tempers still high the next day, Eli is upset when Debbie doesn’t apologise for her hurtful comments and instead demands the return of her stolen belongings. And Debbie is equally annoyed when a smug Eli reveals he’s wrecked all her stuff. Pearl is alarmed when Eric treats her to dinner to celebrate her new home (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock) Pearl’s trying to move on Pearl donates Len’s clothes to the church, wanting to move forward. But Shadrach sees the chance to have a rummage and help himself. Poor Pearl thinks she’s seen a ghost when she walks into the pub to see Shadrach sporting some of Len’s clobber. Eric buys Pearl a drink to calm her down. Later, Eric hides as he’s meant to be at the council pleading for Pearl to keep her house. Soon he and David realise they need to come up with a story to save them from facing the wrath of the villagers when the truth comes out. So they decide to pretend to buy the house and then selflessly agree to let Pearl rent it. Crafty! He tells Pearl that he’s buying the cottage and she can rent it, and not only that – she can have her job back so she can pay the rent. Suddenly Eric looks like a hero! Betty and Sandy, though, are more suspicious! Sandy says if Eric’s doing a good deed, he must have an ulterior motive. He suggests that Eric must have a thing for Pearl if he’s being so generous. Later Pearl has dinner at Eric’s, but with Sandy’s words ringing in her ears, she misunderstands Eric when he toasts to their future, and she runs out of the house! Pearl is still avoiding Eric later and gets Ashley to call in sick for her. When David spots her in the shop, he thinks she’s feeling unappreciated, so he tells her how much his dad values her – making Pearl thoughtful. She tells Betty and Edna that she thinks she has feelings for Eric! Marlon and Donna get ready for their new life as a family A delighted Marlon and Donna pass the house inspection and get the kids back. They say a firm farewell to the caravan and get ready for their new life. But after a to-do with Debbie, Eli gets drunk and shows up just as Marlon and Donna are welcoming the kids. Eli warns his brother than he can ruin his happiness at any time. Worried Eli is going to spill the beans, Marlon takes Eli to the pub to convince him not to tell Donna the truth about the armed robbery. Donna isn’t happy to find Marlon boozing when he’s supposed to be making a picnic for the kids but Eli is pleased to see he still has a hold over Marlon. He makes the most of it with a free fry-up but when Eli asks to store stolen goods at Tall Trees Marlon puts his foot down – not willing to risk Donna’s career in the police. Instead, Marlon gives Eli enough money to hire a van to store the loot and tells him to stop the threats. Huge surprise at Lilith’s trial! Meanwhile young Luke is worrying about his mum’s trial, after overhearing Marlon and Donna discussing it. Eli finds the lad stealing biscuits and has a chat with him, and he’s interested to hear Lilith could be facing a long sentence. The next day Marlon and Donna take the kids to court expecting them to have to say goodbye to their mum, but they’re stunned when the case falls apart. A key prosecution witness hasn’t shown up and Lilith is released. Marlon and Donna are heartbroken to have to say goodbye to the children, but Eli doesn’t seem very surprised. Rosemary’s manipulation of Perdy gets even more evil Gray is worried when Perdy misses a lunch date. And he’s confused when Paul tells him that Perdy’s recent erratic behaviour could be down to her medication. When Gray catches up with his wife later, he tells her he’s hurt that she didn’t tell him she was on pills for depression. Perdy is pleased to get a letter from the surrogacy agency but Gray’s worried things are moving too fast. They decide to have a weekend away together to talk things through but Rosemary’s quick to start planning ways to ruin the trip. As Perdy starts packing she’s horrified to come across a pile of baby clothes. She accuses a bemused Betty of leaving them there, but Gray admits he found them. He asks Perdy where she got them from. Hysterical Perdy points the finger at Rosemary, but she denies it and Gray cancels their mini-break. When Perdy finds out he has cancelled their trip away, and turned down their appointment with the surrogacy agency, she’s upset. She lets rip at Rosemary who realises she’s getting close to having a breakdown. In sinister style Rosemary decides to speed up the process. She gets a prescription for malaria tablets and doses Perdy’s drink with some medication, hoping it will space her out. Gray buys Perdy a kitten to cheer her up. Paddy’s in charge! Jasmine is thrilled to see that her story about Hari scamming money from the vets’ surgery has made the front page of the paper. But she’s not so happy when she realises that McNally has rewritten her story and now the finger is pointing at Paddy, too. Paddy’s fuming and he takes his anger out on Rita, who suggested the story in the first place. Paddy suggests that he and Rita take a break while he sorts out his crisis-hit business. Paddy gets advice from Chas who says the best thing to do to rescue the vet’s reputation is by buying Hari out. Paddy visits Hari in prison and convinces the disgraced vet to sell his share, but jail or no jail, Hari is still wily! Paddy is forced to pay over the odds for the surgery. Terry gets fit in Classic Emmerdale Duke starts a very unenthusiastic Terry on a fitness programme. He’s relieved when Duke’s neighbour Andrea shows up and distracts him, so Terry invites her to stay the night in the B&B and she accepts. The next day Terry buys TJ a cricket bat and says he’ll teach him to play, but Andrea flirtily says she’d like to learn, too. Terry invites her along, but Duke gets involved and soon the men are competing. Terry is embarrassed when he breaks a window at the cricket pavilion. Terry and Andrea have lunch the next day and enjoy each other’s company, but Ashley interrupts to talk about Dawn’s memorial service. Andrea realises she was TJ’s mum and regretfully tells Terry he’s got too much baggage. Classic Emmerdale: Jasmine and David get close Jasmine asks David on another date and he accepts. They’re interrupted though, when Debbie arrives home and Jasmine asks her to stay for dinner. Later, when Debbie sees Jasmine kissing David goodbye on the doorstep, she forces her friend to admit they’re an item and quizzes her about her secrecy. She encourages Jasmine to put everything that happened with Cain behind her, and move on. Jasmine takes her advice and enjoys a day out with David. Classic Emmerdale: Emily’s in torment A job as a nursery nurse has come up and Emily wants to apply. When others point out that she abducted Sarah and that won’t look good on her CV, Ashley defends her! Emily’s crush on the vicar grows! Later, Emily chats to Sam about the anniversary of Alice’s death, and what he can do to mark the occasion. She goes to speak to Ashley about it and he suggests a memorial service. But Sam is angry that Emily has discussed it without asking. Upset by Sam’s reaction, Emily looks for comfort from Ashley, but she misreads the situation and tries to kiss him. A horrified Ashley pushes her away and she’s embarrassed and ashamed. When Emily can’t be found later on, her friends panic, remembering her suicide attempt. Paul, Sam and Ashley race to find her and track her down at the lake – but she’s only come to think. Ashley tells her that he’s put in a word with the nursery and got her an interview. Delighted Emily is given the job, but when Andy sees she’s working at the nursery, he’s furious. He threatens to remove Sarah from nursery and tell the other parents Emily can’t be trusted, unless she resigns. Upset Emily tells Sam she needs to leave the village.
